Title Tomorrow
this drama is about second chances and survival. it will be too pointless and cruel if Ryeon and Joonggil don't get their own second chance together. I really hope the ending would be similar to the mystic pop-up bar or goblin and our couple finds their HE. i kinda feel like in the end, Ryeon has to save Joonggil.

its not a cheng yi drama if hes not constantly in torture lol
lol. I don't mind the torture as long as there is HE. it is the only way that all the suffering is worth it

I really want to start watching it the moment the drama airs, but given Cheng Yi's recent and constant record of sad ends in his dramas, I feel afraid to watch the drama before it ends, considering the novel also has a sad ending for Cheng Yi's character. I need a HE if it is gonna be 60 episodes of tragedy.

I know what you mean, but I disagree that every adaptation is the same. take untamed, WOH, L&R, ultimate note or so many other famous adaptations. they weren't exactly the same as in the novel. there were changes, but the scriptwriters and main leads clearly understood the motives and characters of the novel. it is the basis of adaptation; understand it before turning it into a drama or changing it. this drama was great at the start but now it kinda feels like everyone just gave up. from scriptwriter to producer and actor. it is sad. I had such high hopes for it.

I'm not frustrated because they switched the roles. I'm frustrated because the scriptwriter clearly doesn't understand the concept of the story and its characters and their motivations for doing what they do. that's why even when they place some of the same plots of the novel within the drama, because of the change in characters, the scenes that once were epic, in the drama seem bland. for example, they used the same lines for Lanxi from the novel when he tells his father that he doesn't hate him, BUT his reason in drama is because he UNDERSTANDS and because his father is KING. the scriptwriter seems to use the words of the novel without understanding where they come from. LX doesn't hate his father not because he understands, but because he no longer has any feelings for the man except for him being the king and his father understood it clearly from how detached LX was. but in drama, they used the same lines of the novel without knowing why. LX at the beginning of the drama is called shrewd and cunning by bfx. he is a black fox for a reason. yes, he stands on defense, but he is very strong in defense, while here, he willingly let his father take away his inner power. I can perfectly differentiate between novel and drama. I even enjoyed the changes in drama since I felt the novel was too hung on war and politics, and the acting of the crew is phenomenal, but the character of LX simply doesn't fit with his motivation.

I'm sorry but in ep 34 Lanxi almost made me cringe with his sanctimonious act. srsly, even fj had a more compelling character than him. I'm not sure if it was the scriptwriter or Yang Yang himself that wanted Lanxi's character to change this way, but they ruined Lanxi's character in this episode. It's like they gave Lanxi's character in the novel to YWY and in exchange, gave YWY's character in the novel to Yang Yang. the difference and disparity are that this sanctimonious character doesn't fit someone who wants to rule the world. YWY in novel was able to be like that because he had no desires for anything in the world. if Yang Yang wanted this character, he should have as well taken YWY's role in the novel, not Lanxi's. I am not saying Yang Yang's acting is bad, on the contrary, it is so good I'm impressed, but it is misplaced! Lanxi's character and HC's character in the novel were almost identical except for LX's willingness to give up everything for only BFX. because to rule the world, you have to have ambition and greed and so far in drama Lanxi demonstrated non of it. it is like having all his powers is meaningless because he just stands still to get a beating. tell me, how can this character rule the world?? I'm really disappointed with the scriptwriter. the first half of the drama was wonderful for me but the second half is the complete opposite.

When you define a character as extremely cunning, smart and calculative it is expected to remain consistant to it. bfx and hfx being defined like that it is a bit ridiculous that they have yet to know the villain and also for bfx to just stand still to get stabbed is lame. Because even if she doesn't expect it, as a maritial artist she should sense it. And lanxi not figuring out about bfx's identity or just standing idle and let his shit of a father strip him of his inner power is unblievable. Overall I'm not against change from novel. I like some of them but honstly aside from hfz in drama being more openabout his feelings about bfx, i prefered the shrewd and cunning hfx in novel. He made more sense for someone dreaming of conquering the world. In comparison the drama hfx is..... colorless and ordinary. I like the drama as whole but i am a bit disappointed of the recent episodes.

on the preview ep36HC refers to BFX as Queen and to FLX as Heir of Yongzhou: so may be the King is still alive…
from what I know in novel, and some of trailers, after younger brother tried to usurp the throne, the king was heavily injured and bedridden for a while before he died, so he is useless even alive. but in novel Lanxi was already the heir. I'm not sure how drama will carry it out.

I wonder if the drink that was given to hfx was only a temporary effect. like maybe king's eunuch tampered with it without the king knowing. Just a theory though. But given the trailer of ep 33 he clearly still has power.

So the heartbreak emoticon in ep29 calendar is still about the palace politic?…. If so, that means it likely…
at this point, I'm realizing what the producer meant by not having enough shots or not to blame her. more than 3/4 of the drama is only in Lanxi's state. although I still love the drama, I can't say I'm not disappointed that they cut off way too many important plot lines from the novel.

the father is basically the root of all evil here. he talks about a peaceful court and no inflight, but he is actually the cause of all of them. he realizes his son is healthy and capable, instead of being proud, he is jealous and feels threatened, wanting to snatch the abode FROM HIS SON! and then he feels offended when he thinks his sons are competing for the throne. like... dude! you are doing the same thing! sh*t the hell up and die already!

Looks like it will finally be the final straw for him. Based on the preview the villains will be using the FL’s…
lol. wow now that you reminded me, I want him to do it even faster!

Maybe this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and Lanxi will be forced to act against his father...
at this point I don't mind them as much as the father. he is the cause of all these hellish things!

I really hope he does it soon! like... I seriously don't want to se his father after next week's episodes.

Lanxi's father is truly disgusting. I can't wait for him to die. and if there is one regret I have, it is YWY being a villain. he is so horrid here. I really liked his character in the novel.

somehow I don't think all this concentration on Lanxi's background is solely because of Yang Yang being popular at the moment. in the novel, close to 50% of it, they were in the war. considering all the gore and bloody things that happened and the huge time and CGI needed to make multiple wars and even in the novel Xiyun's story was short and only a means to make her marriage with Lanxi possible. I think the court wars on Lanxi's side are to replace some of the concentration on the war arc. considering in the trailer it seemed to be only one main war between HC and our the main couple, I would say other wars happening in the novel between other countries won't happen and they will only mention them. after Chun ren arc it is Xiyun and then marriage and immediately war. if I guess right, 14+ episodes are enough to show them all.
after all, who rules the world is about the wars between kingdoms, and considering the mess the director and producer made, I think the war part is mostly limited and replaced with court fights and selecting heir. we will see. either way I have no complaint. I'm loving this drama.

when i saw them mentioning him becoming handicapped i was like “noooo” because it reminded me of that evil…
yeah. so far all the mixed up character backgrounds from novel is intriguing. but I really hope he stays loyal because if Lanxi and Xiyun seclude from the world then he is the only possible candid to take over after Lanxi. as in novel it was Lanxi's uncle and Feng Wei

after episode 18, I feel like they are mixing up the facts in the novel to change the characters. like YWY, he is a mix of Jiwei character- not sure if he will be in drama- looking for revenge and also brings the history of Yu family that were regarded as gods but were the cause of mess at the time. also for Feng Chang, he is becoming a mix of Feng Wei- Lanxi's cousin I think in the novel that Lanxi was close to- and also the third brother in the novel that lost his legs because of Lanxi and was a villain. so for Fang Chang, I guess there are two possibilities. either he will follow Feng Wei's fate in the novel and stay loyal to Lanxi and holds the court when he goes to war (maybe even marrying Qiwu) or follow the fate of the seven brothers and die in the end because of plotting against Lanxi.
