why when the novel has the perfect and much reasonable HE, they had to go and ruin it with a 300 yrs separation and a vague daydream? it was a waste of actors' talents and I can only blame the scriptwriter and director.
sadly this drama isn't for me despite how much I like Dirraba and Ren's acting. I'm not against changes between novel and drama but it has to be proper or at least better than the novel. but the drama had a weaker impact than the novel and although I really loved the music, acting, and also the CGI, the plot left much to be desired. all the additional characters and clan and the unnecessary love triangle - god, I hate this one the most!!!- did little to contribute to the main plot and only took away the time. and the ending... I didn't like it.
After love and redemption, there wasn't a single wuxia drama that impressed me as much as this one. I read the novel too just so I could quench my thirst for more episodes and so far I love both novel and drama versions. the changes from the novel are genuine and so original. considering the novel is heavier on politics, there is little romance and to be honest, I didn't really enjoy how easy FL switched her love interests. she fell in love too fast and misunderstood ML too much for all that she knew him over ten years. regardless I loved the novel, but really appreciate the changes in drama. I hope it stays this way until the end. I wasn't a fan of Zhao Lusi before this drama because most of her previous roles were childish, but now I realized it was just the role they gave her and she really can act. I really enjoy her character and acting here and as always Yang Yang is great.
honestly, I really enjoy this story but besides the villain characters, the one character that really annoys me is the coach. I have never seen such a passive character that annoys me this much. anti-disturbance is a reasonable practice but for him to allow other teams openly harass his students by insulting their parents, violating their privacy, and just sitting aside and doing nothing, it makes no sense. he talks about being willing to put his job on the line for SGY but in fact, all he has done over the course of the series even though he knew SGY has psychological problems was to do nothing and only keep telling TG to take care of him. is it normal? does it make sense?

well considering at the time H&R and YBY were involved in conflict and lawsuit(which by the way both parties were wrong and neither was blameless) it was natural that the concert wasn't good. but now they have reconciled and if the news is right and YBY and cheng yi is expected to cooperate again , then they should clear the air in the upcoming concert Mango New Year's Eve. but it is yet to know if both of them show up

I read somewhere that liuli2 is a whole different story. maybe they continue the story of fox and monkey or an entirely different story in the same world. like eternal love and eternal love of a dream. but I think Cheng Yi and YBY will play in the new drama agarwood like crumbs. it has reached the final stage and it is very likely the two play again. they also have a concert together for the new year
for xie lian, I kinda think Huang Jun Jie is really good. he has martial talents and his chemistry with his partners in BL and bromance in both eternal love of a dream and reunion was great. he is also young and beautiful for xie lian's role. I like his actings
I find this drama really refreshing compared to other dramas of similar genres like perfect & casual -which I dropped- and others. the FL is straightforward and doesn't have similar reactions like other FLs and acts like her age. I find it annoying that FL in Chinese drama acts like a kid or stupid or awkward reaction in romance. it isn't insta love either. FL has a purpose to get close to ML and it isn't till she knows him more that her feelings grow. ML is attracted to her too but he didn't trust her from the beginning which I like. also, the interactions between them are not as repeated in other drama scenes and their reactions in romance scenes are also different. I like it so far

exactly!! and luoho jido's time with sifeng ! this arc had the most cuts in episodes. it was a mess! one min sifeng was wearing one cloths, the other he was wearing different one, then again the same cloths of before. I felt they switched the scenes.

I'm pretty sure they did, especially after this leaked cut scene, he literally said if you continue I can't control it and she continued :))) and since the book followed their consummation with the same lines between xuanji and sifeng, I figured it was a done deal. I don't recall he meant purity as in her first time, his whole concern was not letting xuanji walking the dark side by knowing she is mosha star

no problem buddy:))) you have every right to ask. as for your question... it isn't that she is emotionless, but senseless, meaning she has no sense of the emotions she should feel or how to react at certain times. just think of her as a happy go lucky girl that goes by basic instincts instead of feeling. if someone is nice to her, they taught her to be nice too (her mom taught her). if someone saves you , you pay back and go on... I think if you continue watching you will slowly get her. feel free to ask anything about this drama. everyone will answer :)
honestly, it wasn't bad. the plot and the acting of casts were pretty decent . my only and BIGGEST complaint is too many cut scenes and I have allergic to scenes getting cut and it got on my nerves! especially when they show those cut scenes in both starting and ending songs! I mean what the hell, either delete them completely so I don't know they are cut or put them in the drama! they weren't even remotely inappropriate. it made the drama rushed and annoying in parts. other than that pretty decent comedy/rom/ fantasy.
