I don't know if the question made sense, but I remember reading that the other two FSMs had some sort of taglines which indicated that they would be angsty.

I mean, he only actually knew her when they were both little. And I don't know if they were even fully friends at that age. I'd say "friend" is an upgrade.

I found Yang Mi beautiful in her last two (non-fantasy) dramas, but this is certainly on a different level.

She does *train* him (with his powers) when he's a child and the English subtitles refer to raising him in one or two early eps, but she actually doesn't *raise* him. You kind of forget that aspect entirely as the series progresses.

What reason could they have for this? Apart from just to draw it out?

The FL is stoic, as she's a chief who's carrying a lot of worry over centuries. I think this puts people off, because most people are used to stoic ML and cheerful FL. In this it's the opposite. Also, because of the character and the responsibilities she has, she is never going to be a fully relaxed person (it would be so unrealistic if she was). It's more about subtle looks and actions, which is what I like best, but I guess most people like demonstrative characters :)

I had an issue with song lyrics sometimes taking precedence over actual subs (plus some occasional errors). But I didn't notice anything huge (though I might have been more focused on faces and expressions)

He would have to be in the Human World to join the Yiqi Alliance, and Human World is adjacent to Tushan, but yes, I expected a *bit* more distance :D

Tushan's territory but outside its boundary marker... I'm not sure how that works either, unless it's like overseas territories
