Although the main characters are mostly adult men and the story takes place in an office, I guess that Close to You is a bit of a throwback when compared to Trapped , for example, in that it feels a little immature and childish. Not to mention that the character Li Cheng rubbed me the wrong way because he is a little too extra and kind of annoying. Given the older protagonists, my expectations were somewhat more in line with Trapped than with the other high school dramas in the franchise. All in all, I can only blame my own expectations for this sense of disappointment LOL I'll give it try, though, as I hope Close to You will prove me ~wrong~!

It's nice to come to this thread now we've had two episodes. The show did an excellent job at getting us all engaged and hooked. And we the viewers responded in kind by theorizing at lot and discussing ideas, plots, etc. It made the wait for the second part a bit more bearable for me. Such a good community.
