A lady from the production crew (forgot her name, sorry!) posted on TW that if we thought we knew how the story would go jut by the trailer alone, we were in for a surprise. Boy, she was right. Such deceiving little b*stards! I hate you. Charot! I actually love you.
I had pretty much figured out that this series as a whole (parts 1 + 2) would be a reunion story and so Shu Yi…
That was so heart-breaking! Seeing the look of pure loathing and anger on Shu Yi's face when just a few minutes earlier he was so happily in love with Shi De. And how Shi De's mom welcomed him into the family? That was pure gold. Oh boy! I'm tearing up again...
I think Shi De never came back/didn't keep his promise. And I think it was due to something Shu Yi's father did.…
I'm all in for the theory of Shu Yi's father playing a pivotal role in keeping our boys apart for 5 years. Is it OK for me to kind of hate him already?
I had pretty much figured out that this series as a whole (parts 1 + 2) would be a reunion story and so Shu Yi and Shi De would not end up together. And that's exactly what got me throughout episode 6. It was so so sad seeing Shi De and Shu Yi happy together, especially Shu Yi so soft and smitten, at the beginning knowing somehow that would end. Oh man how I cried! I cried my heart out.
And that last scene was... oh that last scene. Shi De will have a lot to make up to our boy Yi.
ok a lot of people seem to be dissing the fact that it's stepbrothers, but STEP means they aren't related by blood…
Crossing The Line and Trapped had very strong story lines for the respective main couples, which makes them my favorites so far in the franchise. So I'm really looking forward to HST4.
I think maybe it's an unrequited love from his youth.
It was another memory/flashback... again! At least now we know the boy was a student when the doctor was a high school physician. I'm guessing he'll show up in episode 6 — maybe setting up some kind of cliffhanger for later and we'll only get to see him more on part 2.
I know this is kind of another "only gay for you", but I actually don't think it is. I know the subtitles are…
I couldn't agree more! Maybe Shu Yi don't >>want<< to fall for a guy because he feels he's >>not allowed to<<. That his family (mostly his father) will oppose to it.
Of all the great moments in this episode, let's admit that Sam Lin singing YU's song was the highlight? ("You did a good job with the lyrics." OOOOMMMMGGGG!)
I'd really love it if Gao Shi De & Zhou Shu Yi were the focus of part 2 as well. There's something about them.…
They just look so good together. And I LOVE how Gao Shi De gets under Zhou Shu Yi's skin, always saying what he needs to listen but doesn't want to hear.
Same! And the whole destined lovers / soulmates thing doesn't make it any more interesting for Thanu+Phai. I actually…
But then again there are lots of tropes and clichés I'm a sucker for: enemy-to-lovers, opposites-attract, mentor-mentee, etc. I think in the end it all boils down to how you connect to the story and the characters' development.

Doesn't it look like he's wearing a school uniform?

There's something about them. I don't know for sure what that is.
