Oh don't worry about it, this will definitely hold its own against Oath of Love.

Sadly, that makes it harder for small actors to climb to the top. There are people out there that will watch dramas based on ratings only. Oh well... I'm hoping this will reach the top and forever and ever. I'm worried about the modern part because the director is new.

Xiao zhan and yang zi have more fans than bai lu and allen combined. I used to think that a good drama can beat the ones with more fans... not anymore. There are dramas out there that are trash and yet they're at the top because the leads have big fan base. It's not a secret that you cant trust the ratings. They're mostly bought by fans or the company.

Give it a chance .... although it's sad, the modern part will make it up :)

I'm like you... if I'm not interested in certain genres, I'll skip it.... but then the ratings got to me and i said I'll just watch 1 or 2 episodes to see.... then i realized i missed out on a good drama. Of course that's not the case with all of the dramas... hopefully you'll change your mind :)

Maybe I won't watch the prequel since it ends in a tragic way and only watch this when it comes out 🤔

I think you should watch the prequel. It might breaks your heart, but you will feel connected to their love story. Knowing how much they had suffered, you'll appreciate the romantic scenes in the modern part even more.

Not a lot of people are aware of the reason, but he got sick and didn't want to give it to his co-stars. His fans clarified this since people assumed that he didn't want to do kiss scenes.
