Title Double
The plot reminds me of Sparks, wherein an amateur seeks mentorship with a seasoned one and how their collaboration unraveled along the years. Will be closely following this, thank you for picking this drama for subs!

An unbiased look against one cult, its members and the stigma that surrounds it. It approaches the subject in a humane way without judgement and never strays away to its drama. Though character arcs should be more explored, the ambiguous ending could mean one thing from the main character - finally opening up to possibilities of change and living through the anxiety of leaving the nest, that is her home and her parents.

I love the fact that we share the same week of birthday and looking at his photos and interviews, a down to earth man that is going places at the moment. I wish him all the best in his career, and hoping for a win in Baeksang or any major award giving body!

The Yeom siblings showed undeniable presence on screen but the emotional core of this drama, in my musing, the Mom and Dad who showed so much support with them as well as Mr Gu. Their Mom preparing all the meals, looking after them every day and supporting their achievements whilst the Dad works hard on the fields and his small company to sustain his family, even if each one has individual jobs. I deeply love the acting of Chun Ho Jin and Kwak Hye Sook (who played the father and mother respectively) with such strong conviction and emotion hidden in their eyes that they inhabit this roles perfectly. The Dad encapsulates the loneliness of old age, of field work and restless nights, with the Mom to take care of him. I love how. in the end, he freely admitted he wasn't strong as they think, and tells them to live their life as it should be.

I know not everyone agrees, but I cannot get over how disappointed I am with the ending of this show. I tried…
Put the words in my mouth. After the finale ended, it just left a lot of spaces open and not enclosed with their own stories, their own ways of liberation. Gu and MJ's arc was left cryptic and unfinished, without knowing what their future holds.

What I felt from the screenwriter was she was avoiding the stereotypical finishes to the characters, but heavily relies on the method of show, don't tell. The scenes of them smiling, getting unto wrong rooms and realizing their were just their old selves was refreshing to see onscreen. Much like life, we see them live through life, get by day to day, figuring out what would liberate them. Even at small steps, or even just few seconds, they earn momentary happiness.

To be blunt, I found the finale unsatisfactory and cryptic. Gu's and MJ storyline feels unfinished, more of a comma than period, inasmuch as with KJ and TH. What I felt the most accomplished and rounded with a developed arc was CH's storyline, where I felt his self-awareness and maturity towards what life throws at him, most especially when he witnessed the death of his Mom and friend, feels serendipitous and fitting. The symbolism weren't on too the nose but poignant and cathartic. All in all, I love the writing in this drama and the relatability of the familial dynamics which I could relate to as well as the existentialist musings interspersed with meaningful metaphors. Wherever they were now, these characters will stay with me for long, even as it ends.

Such a delight of a dorama, how it ends was as heart touching as it begins. There were no visible toxic characters or arcs nor unnecessary fillers and yet it manage to pull off a warm, cozy feel to its central romance. Ultimately in the end, it isn't about what you lost, but what you gained after.

I just want every single character of this drama, true happiness. I feel that this would either have a sad or open ending but I am all ready for it. I hope the writer closes each of their chapters with smiles and content on their own individual selves.

I just can't remember a drama where two successive episodes manages to make you tear up like crazy, and break your heart into pieces with every single character on it. Episode 14 manages to answer the questions I had in mind, and surprise me at each turn. Their grief was so palpable on screen and their Dad, his eyes channels so much sadness that you just want to hug and comfort him. The last 10 minutes finds hope once again, as both Mi-jeong and Mr Gu met after years of separation, all smiles and butterflies. The way they exchange compliments with each other was romantic and funny all at once. I hope they find their way of liberation in the end next week.
