Notice, how I never actually disagreed with you that character introduction did take a bit too long :) Though I wouldn't say nothing happened, in those episodes, they gave a lot of hints and world explanations, to keep me interested. The pace in general was ok, though. And it depends on how it will progress: if they start moving on next episode, I'd say it's fine, no harm done.

I really don't like to compare dramas. But for the argument's sake. Untamed also had a long subplot that was never in the novel, just to make it 50 episodes. It was not all bad, but some parts of it were unnecessary and kind of dragged out, and at the end that line of plot (following the yin iron) didn't actually go anywhere, they just stopped at some point and went home. I do like the Untamed, they did a good job, considering all the restrictions and low budget, but I wouldn't say that the pace was all that good there. And I watched it before reading the novel, though after the anime (which with it's fast pace is very difficult to understand, unless you read the novel).

I also feel the the pace slowed down a little. But you have to remember that a lot of people watching (me included) don't know anything about this Universe. We need those explanations and introductions, otherwise we'll be lost. I felt that for the most part, world building is very organic. Yeah, last couple of episodes kind of dragged out the supporting characters introduction a bit, but it does seem like we're going to get a move on next episode.
I agree, the plot needs to move a little faster. I understand they need to kind of introduce all the characters…
I kind of gave up and watched the previews (usually prefer not to). It looks promising... maybe (fingers crossed). This feels like watching shounen anime again, so I want my Tang San power up! Where is it? LOL

Yes, definitely felt like we're lacking in Tang San action last episodes. It's nice that they try to give everyone a screen time, but maybe supporting characters can progress along with the plot... ))
I'm hoping after episode 13 we're going to move on with the plot. Now even I'm starting to feel like the introduction phase is a bit dragged out. Also Dai Mu Bai is acting like a child, a bit annoying, but I get why it is necessary for him to be like that as a contrast to Tang San. Still annoying, though.
Does anyone know what countries it's available for on MZTV? (YouTube) :)
I think it's easier to just check for yourself? They don't announce it, so everyone finds out when they try :) It's available in Russia. But then DC is available in Russia from all sources, even qq.
tang san turned to mu bai yes man...mubai says jump tang san says how high shit got me pisssed
I think he just doesn't want to have a pointless argument. He seems like a sensible person, that prefers to avoid fighting, unless it's for something important. Like in episode 2 (3? don't remember), where he refused to fight Wang Sheng because he didn't care about the stupid title of the "boss of the dorm". Mu Bai is obviously too stubborn to listen to anyone, so what's the point talking to him? Just agree with him and then do it your own way anyway. Which is exactly what Tang San did in ep 11
Episode 11 is the first one where I kind of didn't get enough action. I was sitting there waiting for the big fight and... puff. Couple of punches and then the teacher knocks the kid out.
I find it really funny that for this website 8.4 is "only". Nothing against your comment, I understand where it's coming from. But I'm just so used to ratings over 8 meaning "wow, this must be really good". And then there's MDL...
The more I hear about the anime, the less I want to watch it. The perfect Tang San, strong and confident from…
That's the impression I have from the comments. I admit, to maybe using the wrong expression. Maybe he has a room for improvement power wise, but the comments gave me the impression that there is no growth to be done as a person - as he is already an adult with established perfect personality. I find it more interesting to see how the character learns in this type of genre, but, again, that's my personal preference.

I didn't make a judgement. Just said that the impression I got from your comments (not just yours, but several) is that I wouldn't like the animation. We all have our preference, I prefer the drama version of the character

It's just an opinion. You prefer him in the anime, I prefer him in the drama. For me it also stings when you call him weak, but it's whatever. Everyone is different
I don't think I really care where the romance part of the drama goes. Would prefer if they don't focus on it, but whether XW and TS have a romantic relationship or stay as siblings, I'm fine ether way.

Young lady, first you have no idea how much anime I've watched. Well let me enlighten you: I got through all of Bleach and this is just one out of about 100 that I've finished, not to mention about 50 that I dropped. Second, just like you expressed your opinion, I expressed mine. I'm not saying yors is invalid, please do pay me the same respect. I do not like perfect characters that have no room for development. They are, in my opinion, the most boring, unrelatable and unininteresting there are. I also did not get an impression that Tang San is weak or stupid, while watching the drama. And if my comment about animation, that you like so much, stings, well, here's food for thought.
