Lai Yi's hairdo was better on Fuyao lol :) Also, his character had gone through such hardships he had to be emotionally unavailable :) but in the end, his cold heart melted because of love. <3<3 will you believe me when I say I preferred the girl who played his love interest on Fuyao better? Same goes for SML - so immature and simply annoying. omg guys am I the only one in here who feels bad for the SFL? I am at episode 18 and I genuinely feel bad for her because this oh so fabulous and unsophisticated newcomer is taking everything from her while she is this poor girl with puppy eyes for the ML but it's unrequited. No wonder she turns bad or whatever. I wish they both could get him. I want the main leads together but every time I see SFL I want her to get ML as well. :*( :*( hopefully, she turns so bad I won't feel bad for her anymore. the thing is SFL and ML are the same at the beginning but he changes because of his feelings and FL forgives him for his initial prejudice. The SLF is a woman so doesn't fall for her and doesn't get the same chance at changing as the ML. So not fair as the two are good girls who could be friends if not for a man. How typical... The drama also shows how much freedom rich men have when women are trapped in their chains. Women don't have much freedom and are discarded for following the rules men set in place, in favour of women who don't follow the rules lol (the speech the SML gave to SLF - I like because she is fresh *eye roll*). no you are not the only one, I am at episode 18 and i genuinely feel bad for SFL because I know this fabulous and unsophisticated newcomer is taking everything from her! Also I get it she is poor etc. but no matter how poor and uneducated you are i find it hard to believe you would be sitting on tables with your dirty shoes on top. I'm sure the prostitutes would have taught her at least that. she gets less obnoxious after episode 10. but i still find the idea of her owning only 1 piece of attire - a ragged carpet she insists on wearing or whatever that is - ridiculous. while the story is engaging this is yet another drama which reinforces the stereotype that as long as you are pretty any kind of behaviour is acceptable. (including placing one's dirty shoes on tables). So not sure if that makes up a strong heroine. Pretty much the message is the more obnoxious you are the better while the good (later turned bad) and well-mannered girls like the SFL will never get the guy. I get it story convenienance. The FL is portrayed as a genius with answers to all of ML's problems. She is street smart and oh soo brilliant, wise beyond her years it makes you wonder how the ML ever functioned without her. Everybody adores or loves her, ofc apart from the female antagonist who she is jealous of ML's feelings for her and because she needs that one enemy. lol same old same old - oblivious FL and oh so serious ML who transforms when he meets the FL. But Lai Yi is amazing and so is Bai Lu but Im watching for him not for her.
