Yes, their agents competitiveness was one of the reasons they didn't get much promo as a CP, so the secondary CP filled that role and got more promo. So much so that of the 10 POJ edits I saw on Twitter and Instagram, 8 or 9 of them were of second cp, and only 1 or 2 of them were of the main cp.

Actually, ZLH's fans did complain about his airtime in PoJ when it was airing. They also complained when TPR was airing.
They complained about less screentime in both dramas, and also, in POJ's case, the secondary couple taking more prominence and getting more promo over the main couple.
Just because you don't see it now, months later after the drama's release, doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Every actor's fans complain about the unfair treatment their favourite actor is getting. It's universal, not limited to Xu Kai fans.
The FL really frustrates me. She doesn't put real effort in defending herself. Leaves her assistants to fend for themselves while she flees back to her hometown. Then she bitches about how no one who cares about her asked her if she really did bully that girl so she can explain herself. I mean, girl, you left your hometown 18 years ago, You really haven't been in touch with the people who care about you for almost two decades, and you expect them to understand how you feel? They are all apprehensive to bring up the issue because they don't how you'd react if they brought it up. Instead of bitching about such things, she should just first find a good lawyer and sue that girl for slandering her. But nah, and I don't know if she will ever do that.
Guys, whether Xu Kai extended his contract or not, we won't know until Aug-Oct (I believe is the period he signed with Huanyu).
I personally HOPE he doesn't renew. But IF he does, I HOPE he gets to decide his own scripts with little to no interference from the company. IF he doesn't, yayyy!! But I will support him either way.
In the meantime, Yuzheng will definitely (and already has) try to drop hints or even say things like Xu Kai will be renewing the contract. Don't believe them. He's known to lie. He's a pathological liar.
Just follow the logic, if Xu Kai wanted to continue, he would have long renewed the contract. These entertainment companies would use any means necessary to get popular artists like XK to renew the contract one or two years before the contract is about to expire. And if the artist signed to renew the contract, the company would jump at the first chance to announce it to the world. They wouldn't be keeping mum or make vague confirmations and later delete the post. So Xu Kai still hasn't singed the renewal contract -- that much can be inferred.

Not just the director, the whole production team bullied him when filming the drama. They used to get him on set during the day time (costumes, wigs and makeup all done btw) make him wait until late into the night before they get him on for late night filming. If he was only on for late-night filming, they could have gotten him in after noon, but no, they demanded he be present all day, just waiting and not do anything. And this didn't happen once or twice for it to be a temporary inconvenience, it happened repeatedly all through the filming period. So yeah, the fans are rightfully pissed at the production team and decided not to promote the drama in any capacity.
