I'll have to watch that drama to see for myself how good that drama is lol. Was watching avenue x, and she didn't…
She literally watches 1 or 2 episodes of Xu Kai's dramas and decides it's a bad drama and posts a video about it. She literally did just that for ALP. I watched the whole review, and it was a hot mess. There was no constructive criticism or anything. Just blatant hater propaganda. As soon as I finished watching that video, I clicked on {Don't Recommend the Channel} on her video and kicked her hateful face off of my YouTube. The only Chinese drama YouTube creator I follow right now is Marcus Here. He doesn't favor one and hate the other. Very neutral and refreshing.
I just watched full episode 22. Watching LCF go off the deep end reminded me of the 1987 American film, Fatal…
Although I felt LCF was the weakest link of the drama -- cause somewhere between the script, directing, and acting, the character's nuances were lost -- I can still understand where he went wrong and how he became what he became. It's not that hard to wrap our heads around it. So, I'm really confused why people are so mad about this character.
are you sure they are s+ dramas? because people usualy don't know that
WOL was upgraded to an S+ drama. It was an S drama when they were in production. I guess the investors liked the output and promoted it to an S+ drama. This means, the drama will get better post-production and better promotions. I'm not too sure about the promotions (I personally feel they haven't been up to the mark. However, if you compare with his previous dramas, with the exception of FIYS, which was wildly promoted by Youku, WOL did have better promotions), but WOL had a very good post-production work done on it. Especially considering that originally 50 episodes were cut down to 40 episodes, yet they still managed to not have an editing disaster, that speaks of how good the post-production was.
All upcoming dramas are S+. Chinese Paladin 6. As Beautiful As You. Story of Joy. Even his rumored drama that he is about to film soon is also an S+ drama. Of the previously released dramas, I only know She and Her Perfect Husband and Ancient Love Poetry were S+ dramas. Not so sure about his other dramas. Xu Kai was also promoted as the Global Ambassador for Tencent/WeTV.
In today's reviews, a person rated WoL 7.0 because she had to skip scenes, unlike SOKP. Somehow watching 100%…
Says that he/she is not biased, then goes ahead and writes a blatantly biased review.
However, somewhat understand his/her situation though. If I follow a drama, I will be in that drama world for however long I am watching that drama, and dramas look weak or pathetic to me. So, there I was, a person who was excited for both WOL and SOKP. Since WOL started airing first, I started with it and put SOKP on hold. If it was the other way, I would have put WOL on hold instead. I also don't plan on watching SOKP soon. I need to let go of WOL completely, and then I can fully appreciate SOKP. This is how I usually deal with this situation.
Not yet. Usually, if I can't find a c-drama ost album on Spotify, I go search on Soundcloud and will almost always find it there. But for WOL, I can't even seem to find it on Soundcloud.
Yes, a few inconsistencies towards the end of drama had me put off watching the last couple of episodes for few…
I don't know about other inconsistencies, but this definitely is not. I won't spoil if you didn't watch the episode, but the person you are replying to definitely was skipping scenes.
I agree with you but I hope Xu Kai gets more serious roles too because he really has a lot more potential.
Han Ting from ABAY, if it closely follows the novel, will be a pretty serious role for Xu Kai. Han Ting is also one of my favourite ML characters ever in c novels.
I hate to break this to you, but Gao Han is also in Xu Kai upcoming modern drama As Beautiful As You.
Author of the novel is different. Screenwriter is the same one who wrote Only For Love. The author of the novel also wrote Waiting For You In A City, which was adapted into Fireworks In My Heart.
Accidental Love, which was adapted to Only For Love, was written by the same author who wrote the novel that was adapted to Love Scenery. I read Accidental Love a long time back before Only For Love was announced. I can tell you that it really does not deserve a drama adaptation. So, for me, from the beginning, Only For Love was bound to fail.
I hope the writing is good. The screewriter did an awful job in Only for Love with Bai Lu and Dylan. I am hoping…
Only for Love had a weak source material to begin with -- it wasn't worth an adaptation, especially with Bai Lu and Dylan as leads. The screenwriter can't do much to save it anyway.
I just saw that too. The Legend was aldo pretty good too, but even then the writing mess was everywhere.
For The Legends, it wasn't the writing, but the editing for the last few episodes was a mess.
I haven't watched Only for Love yet, but I knew it was going to be an average drama -- I read the novel long before they announced the drama adaptation. I felt the novel was ok, not worth an adaptation. And when the adaptation was announced, and with the cast, I felt like "WHYYY??" With a relatively less known actors, I can understand. But with big names announced as cast, I felt it was a wasted potential because of the weak source material. ABAY has a very strong source material, and unless the screenwriter messes it up big time, it should be fine. The Legends also had a strong source material, and I felt the screenwriter did a good job with it, only the editing did it bad in the last few episodes. I hope the screenwriter can do the same for ABAY.
