I like WJT in You're My Lover Friend. I think that was the first time I saw him.
I first saw him in Time And Him Are Just Right. Loved his character and his chemistry with Lu Yuxiao. Also loved his character in You Are My Lover Friend. He's got a very mesmerizing voice, too. I don't think he dubbed for his character in MR, though.
Some of TXW's fans on Twitter/X are really bringing shame to her fandom, smh. I'm sure TXW would prefer not to have such fans supporting her.

The novel is hard to adapt, from what I have heard. It is pretty much of a slice of life without much drama. So I get why they decided to make these changes. But a more experienced writer could have done a better job.
The drama had everything in S+ realm except for the writing department. Director is very famous after The Double. VFX and cinematography are also excellent. Casting, production design (includes sets and props), costumes, makeup, all of that was done pretty well.

Everything about this drama is excellent. Director, Main Leads, Support Cast, Chemistry, Cinematography, VFX, Production Design, Makeup, Costumes, etc etc. Only the writing is very ordinary, and not up to the par of an S+ drama.
I still love the drama, but facts are facts. They could have picked better writers.

Tian Xiwei is not Wu Zhen.
They are the characters they are portraying.
Criticizing a character does not equal criticizing the actor/actress playing the character.
You can absolutely hate a character and still love the actor. Like me with WZS (character) and WJT (actor playing WZS).
