Alright, not to be a party-pooper, since the last few comments have been only about the drama, and not the "drama" taking place on Weibo. I just need to get it out of my system to function properly. I'm sorry if anyone feels that I'm ruining the atmosphere in the comments section. But I will promise, this will be my first and last post on this matter, and I will not speak on this any longer.

So, from what I have seen, I have come to understand these few points:
Xu Lisha, an actress, accused Xu Kai of cheating on her back in 2022 with Zhao Qing, another actress. Xu Lisha also confirmed that she is currently single and not dating anyone. She also posted some videos as "proof" of their relationship.
Now, a similar accusation was pinned on Xu Kai at the start of his career. An ex-girlfriend of his accused him of cheating on her with Bai Lu (there were rumours going on that Xu Kai and Bai Lu were dating, which were later debunked). Xu Kai's team acknowledged the ex-girlfriend, but denied allegations that he ever cheated. The breakup happened because the ex-girlfriend was abusive to Xu Kai, and he ended things. Nothing to do with the cheating allegations. They also provided the necessary evidence and closed this matter.
Now, in this Xu Lisha case, Xu Kai and his team did not acknowledge that he ever dated this Xu Lisha (in fact, Xu Kai vehemently denied he ever dated her or Zhao Qing, cheating allegations notwithstanding), and I will believe him on this, because of one simple reason. If he just acknowledged that he had indeed dated this Xu Lisha (even if he didn't), all he needed to prove was that he never cheated on her with Zhao Qing. No one would find fault with him for dating Xu Lisha back in 2022. And with all parties involved in this scandal confirmed they are currently single too, this will not hinder his current drama if he had just acknowledged they had dated and parted ways, but never cheated on her. Easier to prove. And it seems Yuzheng (Xu Kai's boss) attempted to make it happen with his live-stream, where he claimed that Xu Kai indeed knew Xu Lisha, but it was just a small "acquaintance" that didn't mean anything. This made people think that he is indirectly admitting that Xu Kai and Xu Lisha had dated for a while and broke things off. I'm guessing he just wanted to take the easier route to get out of this mess, not considering whether Xu Kai agreed to it or not. Well done, Yuzheng, for always making me feel disgusted.
So, why would Xu Kai take the hard approach (of not acknowledging the relationship) if he had actually dated her? That doesn't make sense, right?
It does, because he never dated her. Now, Xu Kai and his team have also confirmed that they have collected the necessary evidence and handed it over to the police. And before this happened, they had announced that they were collecting evidence to take it to the police, and then Xu Lisha came back and posted that the "proof" of their relationship that she posted was actually collected from Xu Kai's WeChat moments. She's started to backtrack on these "Proofs" as soon as Xu Kai and his team announced they were collecting evidence. That is quite telling.
I'll just trust the police to do their job. Xu Kai wouldn't bring this case to the police if he didn't have the necessary evidence to clear himself of this mess.
Now, with all of this done, I have to also bring another matter, which made me extremely angry, to attention.
I've seen some people (on Weibo) are trying to pin this mess on Tian Xiwei. Like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!! They are saying things like: "Oh, TXW's recent dramas, MLs all had scandals when their dramas were airing. She's bringing bad luck to her co-stars." Like, WTF is wrong with these people? This is maddening, and I cannot help but feel really bad for her. Getting blamed for the mess her co-stars got themselves into. Yes, this is Xu Kai's mess, and it's his hot mess to resolve, not TXW. And I say this as a Xu Kai fan. The previous messes were the messes her co-stars got themselves into, and it's their hot mess to resolve. Man, I feel extremely guilty, as a Xu Kai fan, to see her get dragged into this pile of shit. Classic case of women getting blamed for men's mistakes.

Last thing, I will be taking a break from watching this drama this weekend. And it's not to do with what's happening on Weibo. I have plans this weekend, and I have been contemplating whether to find time to catch the day's episodes or just hold off. But with the recent previews of the drama I watched on Tencent, I felt like I could wait until after the weekend to resume. Even if the Weibo drama is not resolved by then, I will still come back on Monday.
Hoping for a healthy drama page when I'm back on Monday.

Apparently, Yuzheng is very good friends with ZLS's agency head or something. He also openly criticized her in the beginning of her career. There's a video still going rounds on internet, where some producers and artists are at dinner table, Yuzheng and ZLS among. The dinner was livestreamed or something, and you see Yuzheng directly criticize her on her face.
And during recent issue between ZLS and her agency, YZ seemed to have played some part in it.

So there's this actress who's doing pretty well now, and she's got a small bunch of crazies (I'm only calling out the crazies, not the normal fans of the actress.. they are actually quite chill.. so if someone feels attacked by this comment, well, if the shoe fits) who call themselves her fans, but they sound more like Xu Kai haters. I'm sure a lot of Xu Kai fans know which actress' crazy fans I'm talking about. For those not in the know, a hint: She was the FL in two of Xu Kai's dramas at the start of her career.
Now, I won't get into the old wounds, but the new wounds opened up when Wonderland of Love was airing, and that actress' drama was also airing at the same time. Both dramas are doing well, but her crazies did not like Xu Kai's drama doing well with her drama, so they started creating fake profiles to rate Wonderful of Love down (how do I know this? Well, they literally bragged about it on WOL's MDL page), and also rate their favourite's drama up. WOL's rating was around 7.7-7.8 for about two weeks before it recovered with passersby rating chipping in. Since then, almost all dramas of Xu Kai have been downrated badly. As Beautiful As You was even rated down so bad, at one point, it was down at 6.7, and it was a steep climb to the current 8.1 final rating for the drama. In an ideal world, WOL would have 8.6 or 8.7, instead of the now 8.4. In an ideal world, ABAY would have 8.4 or 8.5, instead of the now 8.1.
So, here's what I will say, if you see a Xu Kai drama, add 0.3 or 0.4 more to the final rating.
Also, if this drama continues to hold as good as it is now, we don't have to worry about the bad ratings, they will take care of themselves in the end. Just that, we might be short of 0.3 or 0.4 of the final rating we'd normally expect.

Somehow, I got the VPN working for me to watch the previews.
From my little understanding of Chinese, MZY tells her about the cat, WZ was like, "Aren't you afraid of cats?" He was like, "Nah, I quite liked the cat, but don't know what the cat feels" And she was like "The cat likes you, and so do I." And they go for the kiss that probably didn't happen. I'm guessing MZY turned her down, and hence WZ was seen depressed in ep 15 preview.
Just a rough understanding, lol. I'm not Chinese, and don't quote me on this.
