This is a new rumour. A small time actress is claiming XK cheated on her with Zhao Qing.

Xu Kai and his studio posted statements that he never dated either of the actresses. His studio has already lodged a complaint against the rumormongers with the police.

I wouldn't call them scandals. Scandals in China destroy an actor/actress' career.

This rumour was not even the craziest rumour Xu Kai was tied up with. Last year, someone said Xu Kai has HIV. His team didn't help him much back then, so Xu Kai personally had to go to the police station to report.

Yeah, I think it was when BCE was about to broadcast, or maybe it was ABAY.

This happens to him whenever a new drama of his releases lol.
Usually it happens a few days before the drama release. I was feeling lucky that no one caused trouble this time, but I guess not.

At least Xu Kai's studio is taking action this time by collecting evidence and making a police report. Last time, the rumours were even more ridiculous, and with his team not doing anything, Xu Kai himself had to make a trip to police station to file a complaint.

I haven't watched that drama yet, on my to-watch list.
But I saw some clips of CZ forcing HY to marry him.
I don't know why the drama did him so dirty. While he was not a saint in the novel, he at least didn't force his feelings on HY, even wished her well in the end.

I really don't want to add more to the bad ratings talk, so I'll just post one comment and be done with it. I'd rather this drama page is filled with commentary of the drama, actors, characters, plots etc, not the ratings.

So why low ratings?
(Personally, I am numb to this at this point. I'm sure a lot of old Xu Kai fans are also numb to this.)

So there's this actress who's doing pretty well now, and she's got a small bunch of crazies (I'm only calling out the crazies, not the normal fans of the actress.. they are actually quite chill.. so if someone feels attacked by this comment, well, if the shoe fits) who call themselves her fans, but they sound more like Xu Kai haters. I'm sure a lot of Xu Kai fans know which actress' crazy fans I'm talking about.
For those not in the know, a hint: She was the FL in two of Xu Kai's dramas at the start of her career.

Now, I won't get into the old wounds, but the new wounds opened up when Wonderland of Love was airing, and that actress' drama was also airing at the same time.
Both dramas are doing well, but her crazies did not like Xu Kai's drama doing well with her drama, so they started creating fake profiles to rate Wonderful of Love down (how do I know this? Well, they literally bragged about it on WOL's MDL page), and also rate their favourite's drama up. WOL's rating was around 7.7-7.8 for about two weeks before it recovered with passersby rating chipping in.
Since then, almost all dramas of Xu Kai have been downrated badly. As Beautiful As You was even rated down so bad, at one point, it was down at 6.7, and it was a steep climb to the current 8.1 final rating for the drama.
In an ideal world, WOL would have 8.6 or 8.7, instead of the now 8.4.
In an ideal world, ABAY would have 8.4 or 8.5, instead of the now 8.1.

So, here's what I will say, if you see a Xu Kai drama, add 0.3 or 0.4 more to the final rating.

Also, if this drama continues to hold as good as it is now, we don't have to worry about the bad ratings, they will take care of themselves in the end. Just that, we might be short of 0.3 or 0.4 of the final rating we'd normally expect.

After watching today's episodes, I can totally see why MZY would reject her confession.

Somehow, I got the VPN working for me to watch the previews.

From my little understanding of Chinese, MZY tells her about the cat, WZ was like, "Aren't you afraid of cats?" He was like, "Nah, I quite liked the cat, but don't know what the cat feels" And she was like "The cat likes you, and so do I." And they go for the kiss that probably didn't happen.
I'm guessing MZY turned her down, and hence WZ was seen depressed in ep 15 preview.

Just a rough understanding, lol. I'm not Chinese, and don't quote me on this.

As a cat person, I really liked all the cat scenes in today's episodes.
