Is the drama dubbed? Somehow I feel weird with Xu Kai's dialogue. His mouth doesn't open wide while he's talking.
Most Chinese dramas are dubbed, either by the actors themselves or by the dubbing artists. Xu Kai is dubbed by a dubbing artist for this drama. He recently started dubbing for himself for modern dramas. Work in progress for costume dramas.
I'm sorry, but I don't see what others are seeing in SZR. I've dropped dramas (two of them were adaptations of novels I really liked) because SZR was the FL. I did try to watch them, but I just couldn't see her as a FL. I probably won't be watching this drama if the rumour turns out to be true.

Tencent is fumbling big time here if they aren't getting this drama out this month. Xu Kai's variety show, Great Escape 7, is doing exceptionally well on charts. Great promotional potential right there.

I just realised: You mentioned that it is a CCTV drama. If so, Tencent is as helpless as us fans, in this case. Tencent will have to follow CCTV's schedule, not the other way around.

Rumoured for July 12. Wow, they actually postponed a Dilraba drama to get this in. Guess we can't do much about it if even Dilraba's drama is getting pushed around.
What I meant is, S+ from Tencent and S++ from YouKu stand at same ranking.
Only xianxia dramas (of the ones I have watched, of course) that have more than 5-10 minutes of happy ending are:
1. Legend of Shen Li
2. Love of the Divine Tree

Highest ranking for dramas in Tencent is still S+.
The information I get about c-dramas is mostly from Twitter and MDL comments section.
