People canโt really control how they feel for other people. Crushing on a friends significant other and acting…
Oh yeah, I agree. Always pisses me off where SML or SFL feel entitled that the ML or the FL should reciprocate their feelings. I have personally not witnessed any such behaviour in real life, though.

For me, Bros before Hoes is everything, actually. I have had a crush on a woman, and then I find out my good friend has been pursuing her seriously. I instantly lost any feelings I had for her. They didn't end up together, but I didn't take this opportunity to give it a shot, because 1. Bros before Hoes. Even if it didn't work out, my friend would still feel betrayed if I gave it a go. 2. I wasn't interested in her anymore.
the first 3 point: validated. (virginity was not sure anyway)how did you validate/clarify the 4th point ( shit…
ML stayed in Germany for long period of time, do you think he wasn't with any other women? In the novel FL and ML end up going to Germany. There FL asks ML if he had been with any caucasians, and he said yes. He was also in a friends with benefits relationship with Zeng Di in the novel. They changed that in the drama, but it doesn't mean he hasn't been with anyone else.

Who said ML is a virgin, lol? He certainly wasn't a virgin in the novel. And we don't know if he is a virgin or not here, but why should we care, is my question.
Li Li really stole the show in the recent episodes. Loving this character, definitely an improvement from the novel in this case.
The actress playing Tu Xiaomeng is also very impressive.
I actually pity Wei Qiuzi. She just has a crush on her best friend's boyfriend, but isn't acting on it. She is also trying her best to help the couple in her own way. But seeing how people here are critical of her made me realise one thing: whenever I see the same situation play out with ML's bestfriend having crush on FL, it always annoyed the hell out of me, meanwhile female audience found these best friends pitiful and felt sad for them. Yeah, feels good to be on the other side now, for a change.
Miscommunication is not the issue anymore. They now have different goals, and if they communicate, one or both of them will have to make concessions. And these concessions in turn will burn their feelings and they will eventually separate.
I have a theory on whether Han Ting actually has romantic feelings for Ji Xing (spoilers from novel, so don't…
I don't think Han Ting has any romantic feelings, yet. Yes, he wanted her to be his girlfriend, but we never truly hear him say that he has romantic feelings for Ji Xing. I think he sees Ji Xing as a capable and smart person, who is also compassionate. He himself shares same ideals, so he wanted her to be his life partner.
Remember, the trailer has lines from the novel, where Ji Xing asks Han Ting, "Do you love me?" I think this is the case because I don't see a reason why else would Ji Xing break up with Han Ting? It's because, as in the novel, Han Ting in drama also feels Ji Xing is the most suitable partner in his life. That's the main reason he got together with her. Of course, he later falls in love with her, and realizes it after they break up. I hope this is how it plays.
I have a theory on whether Han Ting actually has romantic feelings for Ji Xing (spoilers from novel, so don't read the reply if you want to avoid spoilers from the novel). I see many people getting turned off by the fact that Han Ting is pining for Ji Xing.
The Douban user group is so low and Tencent heat index is only 25000, I thought this drama is just doing okay…
No, he is doing an avg of full week. First week usually dramas will not end up on top. We need to see from week two to see how it is doing. Same with BCE, first week, it was not on top. Many viewers complained about it, because BCE was topping all charts, but it was not top in his data. He explained in next episode that he does an avg of the week, and BCE premiered mid-week, so it didn't make it to the top because of it. From week two onwards, BCE topped Marcus' charts for a few weeks in a row.

Ji Xing is ambitious and too career focused. Shao Yichen, on the other had, just wants to starts a family and lead a simple life.
