I’m really hoping this doesn’t drag like the other dramas of JH. I think he’s a natural especially when it comes to chemistry w/ his co-leads but I end up disappointed cos they let the plot suffer by adding a lot of fillers. So excited!!
I’m only half way through and my view could still change but my annoyance for Yun Hao is beyond comprehension. I don’t think any last minute character development can redeem his personality. Ugh.
As someone who loves crime/romance drama, I was so excited to watch this but it really fell short of my expectations. In fact it was a big DISAPPOINTMENT. The FL got me so frustrated 90% of the time. Though I understand the situation she was in, I find her to be a little too naive. I think it’s largely due to the way she delivers her emotions or should I say lack thereof.
Ep 3 and 4 made me extremely emotional. With all the rumored and proven bullying cases in Korea coming to light all at once, it is even more upsetting. I hate how the adults that these minors are supposed to run to for help do absolutely nothing. They are even making it worse by gaslighting the victims. My heart is so broken, I want to believe that these acts I see in their dramas are exaggerated but I don’t think that’s the case at all. I hope all those in the entertainment industry (w/ evidence ofc) gets exposed and properly apologize! It’s a cry for HELP! Idc if it happened in early teens, which I know some will disagree, but ganging up, constantly speaking ill of them, spreading false things, and so much more is NOT a normal behaviour. I get that a lot are still having identity crisis at that age but some of the things they do are extreme and should never be normalize. Hold them accountable for their actions or else the next generations will think it’s something they can get away with in the future and it will just be a constant cycle of victims suffering in silence. If I am not mistaken, S. Korea has the highest suicide rate in Asia. There’s many other factors to that but one thing is for sure, their school system needs to change and do something!!!
does this have the same storyline as how to get away with a murderer? i read somewhere that this is its korean…
Gave me similar vibes to HTGAWM. I’ve forgotten majority of it but i’d say it has the same hook! You think you know who the perpetrator is because they show preview of how the murder happened but they slowly reveal the bigger picture which points out to another possible culprit. Another similarity, if I’m not mistaken, is that some students show odd behaviours that raises suspicions to viewers. So far it’s not as dark/heavy as HTGAWM.
I’m only at 8th ep but the amount of trouble the FL is getting involved in is just absurd! Someone please tell me it’s going to get better. It’s even more frustrating cos I watched ‘Sunshine of My Life’ before this and the FL’s character on that drama was phenomenal, smart and can stand on her own. Ngl, I get secondhand embarrassment cos the ML was always the one that catches her in these situations. I didn’t think the ‘clumsy fl’ tag was going to be this extreme lol. End of rant, I’ll give it a few more episodes hahaha
(Clarification: She doesn’t always create the trouble, she mostly gets dragged into it. I guess luck just isn’t on her side)
Had such a strong start that it lead me to believe it’s going to be one of my fave. Sadly, most characters became a let down and plot suffered. Not the worst I’ve seen but if you ever do decide to watch it, be prepared to experience a whole lot of frustration. A bit of a shame because main leads had such an amazing chemistry. More of a 7.7/10 for me
I’m loving this so far but the way Sandra Ma speaks in a whispery hoarse voice (not exactly sure how to describe it) majority of the time kinda distracts me. I loved her in love me if you dare but I don’t quite remember if she spoke the same way.
I only started watching ‘Eternal Love’ now to see more works of Yang Mi and realized that Vin Zhang, Wayne Liu, and Daisy Dai worked with her in that drama as well.
To all curious about CBK’s controversy, everything was FALSE. You can read his statement regarding the rumours on his Instagram: @bk_arta. It’s really heartbreaking how this false accusation broke down all the hard work he had done in a matter of days when he has been building it for years. Though international fans can easily brush all these off and move on especially because no accusation was ever proven true, some knetz are unfortunately a whole different case. It is clearly mentally distressing for him (see his statement) because their opinion factually weighs more. I hope he can get out of the hell hole this person put him in and get back all that he worked hard for.
What did i miss? Why was seongyeom in the hospital pajamas in the flashback at the end of ep 14? So confused on…
He used to be a javelin thrower before he was a runner. He had to give it up because he injured his shoulder. The scene showed where they were once the weakest point of their life.
I’m still enjoying this drama so I’m just here to let out my anger... Can’t stand Na Ro at the moment and definitely not til he owns up to his mistakes. All he does is sweep all his faults under the rug or blame it on someone else. Every time his ‘mom’ shows him genuine affection I always have this glimmer of hope that he’ll finally have a 180 change of character but nope, he goes back to the way he’s always been. And ugh, add to that is Seo Ah, a toxic relationship brewing. What a self-centred woman that knows nothing but whine when she doesn’t get what she wants. I’m expecting we’ll see the biggest character development from NaRo and hopefully from SA as well so these are just my current stand. For now I loathe seeing them soothe each other’s wound while being at their most broken and appalling state. And like many others, I freaking adore Ra Hoon and Cha Ba Reun :)
