Everything in context, you're citing a standard for this era and for someone who has only known abuse and assault from her own family then her marriage. She doesn't know any better. To live with that kind of trauma, timeline would only be a few weeks if that and you want her to have been healed already? esp after a trip to her family?! Love the FL and how she rejected Yeon Su. He needs to grow some friggin' balls and she has to deal with her trauma before they start anything. The most growth I'd like for Yeon Su is to leave his parents in destitute and to finally call out Kang Hee for her behaviour. However, I don't think she was a bitch for rejecting him. Why are women here calling her one for rejecting him? Just 'cos he waited for her for 10 yrs she should be grateful?! Fuck that! If she don't feel it, she was right in rejecting him. And why should she have to deal with the mil just cos she loves him?! He should sort out his shit before wanting to start a relationship.

For me, the past gave context to his microexpressions as he didn't explain a lot. She'd make a comment and instead of explaining, he'd just agree or hhmmm but then in his head, there's this running reel of what he's thinking of and how he's feeling. That's how I got to feel just how deep his feelings were and how every little thing matters but he doesn't always act like it. To me, that's why we got so many flashbacks, to help the viewer connect otherwise he'd just be seen as being nonchalant about everything, which is not a true representation of how he is. Can you tell I've watched this a 'few' times 😂
Rewatching and it makes me miss SKJ even more. What a beautiful man and a talented actor. I'm impressed with every drama he's been in.
After years of watching other PMY dramas, personally I think this was her best performance... raw & real, no pretences, no fancy clothes etc... just her delivery. Was impressed with her here but I haven't been a fan of any of her subsequent performances.
So nice to return to this village and its characters when I'm in a drama slump. The feels, the cinematography, the storyline, everything... hope SKJ comes out with something soon.

So loved the smoky eye makeup on LSY, her first character I've seen with such makes so def a nice surprise. Love this character, lots of guts, backbone and gumption. Can't wait to watch more! But what's with 1 ep/wk?!
So... ep 7, after meeting her again, he's not the slightest bit caring or affected after he sees all her bruises? or her limping?! Was his reaction that micro that I missed it?!
