I'm so conflicted about the plot here... but I think this is the best I've seen SWL act!!!
Am at ep 11 and I wish they hadn't made them get together before she went to college. That bit gives me the ick. Waiting til after the exams doesn't make it less icky either. However, I guess with two people growing up in an abusive household, being with each other would be their safe space.
I loved her in S&L but I agree about the crop top thing.I was like why would she wear that in front of a bunch…
She's just not mature enough for the role, both as an actor and the character. She's trying hard by not being all cutesy but then she comes off as dry cardboard.
It's 2026 but still some people nitpick on what a woman should wear, how she should talk, walk or behave... I…
oh puhlease... spare me the feminist movement babble... how bout both men and women cannot wear crop tops to school as teachers! It's called dressing appropriately for your profession. Don't worry, once you grow up and get a job, you'll get it, it's actually a thing π«
If they're going to cast someone who looks 15 as a teacher, the least they could do is dress her appropriately! What teacher has ever worn crop tops to work?! And out of all actors to dub, why don't they ever dub Esther's voice?! Even her lil cheer for the team is grating on the ears!
well that was underwhelming... how did it go from my most exciting in the first 25 eps to this boring, lifeless and dull watch? This was my fav Bai Lu character but then they all became just passive passengers. Even the final fight with Mo Jingli was, for lack of a better word, blunt and uninteresting. There was a lack of certain energy, in the whole thing and in their relationship too.
The FL was cringey and annoying at times. Dunno if that was the director's intention. I couldn't relate nor have pity for ML as he was a dick before he got diagnosed.
i cant actually do this i think im dropping this drama. it really pisses me off how hari is with her grandma,…
The writing is a bit problematic here I reckon. A nurse would know and understand the doctor's position with his patient. Shows their lack of creativity as they couldn't come up with something credible for the mains to have a confict over.
Up to ep 7 and this is my fav Bai Lu character so far. She's the most natural I've seen her and it's so pleasant to watch. The only thing is the fighting scenes are a bit questionable but liking everything else so far.
Am up to ep 18, my initial impression: this is probably the least natural I've seen Elvis Han. I was looking forward to it because I've enjoyed his other dramas, but so far he feels quite stiff in both delivery and performance. The heavy filtering also makes both leads look oddly doll-like. Hopefully things settle as the story progresses.
Up to Ep 27, Zhan Zhao Adventures started off strong, but I feel the dialogue and acting have fallen off a bit. The fight scenes are still the best part of the show by far.
HLL also started off as a strong character, but somehow by this point she's mostly just following ZZ around, which is disappointing.
My biggest gripe is probably the direction and editing... a lot of scenes feel abruptly cut, so the flow between scenes isn't as smooth as it could be.
