Those traits aren't mutually exclusive at all. A person can be mature and strongheaded while still feeling the weight of family and societal expectations. In fact, that tension is what makes a character believable and actually the whole point of her character! Someone can recognise what is right for themselves and still struggle with the consequences of going against their family. That’s the kind of internal conflict many people experience in real life, especially in cultures where filial duty is important. In this drama, Lee Jeong is mature enough to stand up to her father, she knows what he's doing is pretty much selling her off. She's strongheaded in that she will not compromise her morals just to please her father or her boyfriend. All the while, she knows her cultural expectation is filial piety and that's where she's conflicted. She knows what she wants but she also doesn't want to let her mother down, she's not really caring about what the father wants.
It seems that I'll just watch whatever ZLH is in, no matter what... only watched ep 1 and I can't get enough of him!!! I'm not a big fan of TXW but she's surprised me in this. I'll just take it as it's because of ZLH, he just brings out yhe best in everyone 🫰😆

I’m finding the face filters a bit much, they're all whitened and flawless, esp CJH, they look like mannequins. They don't even need to do it! It makes it hard to connect with them and just seems a bit ridiculous.

I felt the opposite with TaeSeop, the fact he talked normally with his ex and admitted he wasn't mature enough back then, felt that was the closure both needed.
I’ve been watching a lot of strong, independent FLs lately, so I’m finding it hard to connect with an FL who seems this desperate for a man. She's obsessively checking her phone, staying on a date after being insulted and conducting shallow conversations about jobs and wealth, it all feels a bit dated, reminiscent of older kdramas. Given Han Ji-min’s past roles, I was expecting a more nuanced starting point for her character.
It'll be interesting how each character's growth, if any, will play out.
eeww I really dislike Gao Wei Guang's role here (Gong)... he reminds me here of his role in Les Interpretes... basically the same personality, loud-mouthed, selfish and arrogant.
