What an underwhelming ending. Liked the series but lazy writing the ladt 2 eps... it was as if the writers just wanted it over and did the bare minimum, quite disappointing.

I've heard that too. I dunno why people would want him as an actor with sucj a clause. His looks are nothing to write home about and his acting... sub par at best so they should just someone who doesn't have such a ridic clause in their contract
This is possibly my first 'legal' drama and it's quite interesting to watch a civil legal system at work. Am used to watching all common law legal system dramas which is what we have here in Aust and USA and watching a codified legal system at work gives me an idea of how structured these legal systems are :)
As for the actual drama itself, am a bog fan of Park Eun Bin and she never disappoints! One of my fav characters tho is turning out to be the 2FL who seemed unfriendly at the beginning, her character arc and her delivery is spot on!

Im a big fan of the whole franchise so was looking fwd to watching this adaptation. Def felt rushed which is understandable seeing as it is a movie. I don't think they got the essence of the angst in there but I still liked it. Gotta say, this MC is my fav aesthetically and XYL my most preferred SH. Give ut a year, they might make another adaptation 😆

It's like she came out of nowhere! I was getting confused with all the women around the Emperor til I saw a family chart somewhere and now understand what everyone's role is. And I think this is the most Consort Yue has spoken so far... can't wait to see what else she has to say haha
Consort Yue is my favourite character now 🤭😂😂 whatta crack up when she was asking her daughter if she enjoyed looking like a peacock? lol i can't remember her exact words but it was to that effect lol
I love the way ZLS portrays CSS, she's fast becoming one of my fav actresses. Here, I especially love the way she constantly throws in her mother's face that she wasn't there while CSS was growing up. It's refreshing in a cdrama to see that resentment and grudge held out for long in the course of the drama. It's consistent and in keeping with her character. It also informs of her attitude when approaching potential romantic relationships. I'm intrigued and curious as to what she'll do next. As for LBY, he's hot!!! His character's abit stiff but that's understandable considering his upbringing and what he's gone thru so far. Am looking fwd to him relaxing a lil bit. I also love how he treats his father, it mirrors CSS' attitude in that they both have issues with their parent and it's something they have in common.
I am looking fwd now to more interactions between them as they get to know each other. Can see from the trailers there'll be lots of butterfly scenes 😊

Yeah, I find her annoying too and I hate how she looks absentminded every single scene... am only on ep 17 but you can tell she's misunderstanding the ML's intentions and ai can just imagine the drama from that later on
