Rewatched some eps and the acting is phenomenal from both leads. SKJ is such a talent and Im floored with the later ep scenes, his microexpressions really got me as there weren't a lot of words spoken. As for the ending, it was the best they could come up with. But I imagine them getting together later as right now, they just both need to focus on themselves.
I don't think it's fair to complain that the characters aren't like in Reply so they're not good? I felt that Jiang Jiang's dad was far from perfect and quite real - he was kind but a pushover but the perfect parent for the abandoned kids.
The mums you say who didn't feel real felt very real for me, I'm not sure what you meant. I felt the characters were quite authentic.
I get what you mean about Song Weilong however I felt he brought put the awkwardness of the character quite well. His acting still has a long way to go but his performance here wasn't awful.
Finally got around to watching this... Am at ep 3 and I'm bummed the timeline for the young versions is over as I love the little girl. Secondly, the announcement about her period had me in stitches 😂🤣
Am up to ep 17 and the FL is the cutest thing! I honestly thought I'd find her cringey but to her credit, am loving her character more and more. ML's acting so far is a bit stiff, I know he's meant to be but you can be stiff without being literally stiff lol, I loved him in Love O2O so was looking fwd to this.
Thai dramas are very different from Chinese and Korean dramas. I took some time to get into them and I remember…
I didn't even like the Chinese version to be honest... I clicked on it cos I thought the main couple looked cute together. Yes, the lingo's annoying to me right now til I get used to it I guess, I swear they didn't sound like this when we visited Phuket 😂
my first Thai drama and wow! I didn't expect much but this is just ridiculously bad. The characters are College students with the mindsets of toddlers. Definitely rookies when it comes to acting. The main leads I have to admit are prettier to look at than the Chinese couple but what's with all the contact lenses? They must've gotten a bulk buy discount! Dropped at ep 8.
The main leads romance got zero feels. The ML is an arrogant prick. If not for PXR then I would have drop this…
I'm feeling like dropping it too and am at ep 9. I just don't like the ML but sooo loving the FL, only reason why I kept watching it and for NYZ, first time watching both of them.
Well done to these actors! First time watching FL and she was great. Her character was such a cliche but for some reason I didn't cringe at her delivery of some of those cringey lines. ML is hot and sooo pleasing on the eyes 😊😁 gave it 8/10
Was disappointed with FL's acting. Expected a lot more after ALSB. ML carried this whole drama, my first time watching him and he outshone everybody. Those dimples too, quite sexy. If this is his first main role, he's done a very good job.
As for the storyline, it was predictable with the usual tropes which I don't mind but the acting just wasn't up to par. Child lead was great - his moments with the ML were probably my favourites. And can the director stop it with the kiss close ups if they're just going to touch lips... very dry. The chemistry between the leads felt more like friends, not lovers.

Gave it 6/10.
