I had high expectations - kinda realistic setting, a little bit unconventional characters with subtle and deep…
I get ya, I'm finding the FL really pathetic and dumb, up to ep 18 where she goes into shock when the boy died, like an ER would really let a dr wallow in her grief whilst there is a crisis... then she has the nerve to actually eat brekkie and then straightens herself out after the chaos!
Iβm a big fan of Hu Yi Tian but εΎζ±ζγγγ drop itβ¦ i guess itβs just nor my cup of tea after watching…
I don't think it's to the extent of being obsessive. We gotta remember these are high sch students going thru with hormones and no advice so they're flying it alone and trying to work out these feelings and emotions on their own. If she was obsessively stalking then she wouldn't have been able to think of anything else and have made it to university. Even more so, high sch guys being indecisive comes with the territory of being teens and in their youth I think. Fair enough tho that it's not everybody's cuppa tea.
Am on ep 3 so far... why does each of the ML's sentence sound like an announcement?! He's How making conversation but it sounds like either he's reading off the script or making some sort of announcement like he's a rookie! could it not be picked up by the director?!
I stopped at ep 11 when I saw that the eps are not fully subbed yet... but already, this ML is quite the actor! For a young one, his microexpressions are accurate and so on point. I'm feeling all the love he has for the FL, right from the beginning. Can't wait to binge the rest. Is there anyone translating all the written notes that MGTV doesn't? I feel every detail with this show is vital π
For some reason I love her character, it is usually the main lead who acts like that but they gave it a twist…
Ma Yi Yi i loved her character at other times esp when they were altogether as a group, but when she was whining about a guy and she put on that baby talk uugghhhh I ff all those scenes as I felt that was way too degrading
Most annoying character to date: Ma Yi Yi... so confident on screen, beautiful and elegant til she opens her mouth to do that whining noise and proceeds to mumble like a 3yo! Couldn't help but notice, coincidentally, a lot of veneers in a drama about a dentist π
Just finished this, binged it in like 2 says... I loved everything but after they got together, after it finished, I was left with, is that all? was that all they did with this show? I dunno... why didn't they mention the past again? When they went back to the sch, he said he was wondering what he'd say if she brought up the past, I wish they got to discuss that with each other a bit more. The absences for work I didn't really feel their anguish at missing each other because the scenes just jumped from one to the next, unlike the ones in earlier eps where they missed each other before they got together, YY showed his improved acting skills here with his expressions.
I was really surprised by Dilraba's acting here too, it was spot on and more mature as I didn't like her earlier portrayals in other dramas. YY has grown in his acting but still a lil bit stiff at times.
Overall, loved it but wasn't wanting more after it finished, it was a nice watch.
I haven't started watching Nevertheless yet but from the comments, I just might enjoy it... such differing views on polar opposites of the spectrum can only mean one thing... the actors did well in evoking such strong emotions from the viewers. I'm just waiting to perve on the ML lol
Just started watching and already, Dong Wook annoys the shit outta me... does he have a dialect or he's putting that on? I'm glad he wont be on for long!
Tried to re-watch this... I don't remember anything and now I know why... another dumb arse FL who thinks being called stupid and dumb by her spouse is acceptable!!! She got attacked twice by each of the ML and SML and no consequences. Writing is terrible, (could she stop saying I'm sorry already!!!) dialogue intolerable and most story arcs seem to be incomplete or missing something. Janice Wu was overacting and way over the top with being a teen and trying to be a cute student; Tiffany was just cringey and frustrating to watch with trying to be the shy, humble FL and always bowing her friggin head.
I've never been so angry after watching a cdrama before. Series wants to be light and fluffy then stay that way. Why introduce a serious PTSD issue if they're not going to deal with it responsibly? So the treatment for it is to never let the FL be lonely or sad whatta fucken load of shit! I was so shocked and impressed with that twist that I was then looking fwd to the writers dealing with the repercussions. Instead, they decide to be lazy fuckers and come up with the most ridiculous diagnosis and treatment of a prevalent mental illness. If the writers don't know their shit then stick to the fluff which I love and leave the serious mental illness issues to the experts. And what was with the forever forehead kissing?! They minors?!
So many plot holes and the editing felt jarred, it starts off a scene then it doesn't finish it off properly, what was with that?
Love DYLB the best... epitome of quiet love... one of the scenes which remains with me is in One Spring Night I think ep 2 where they're in a restaurant as a group after a bball game and the FL drops her chopsticks and ML just hands her a pair with no fanfare, so simple yet so telling of the kind of person he is and sets the mood for their caring relationship going forward...
