I expected Ge Bi to say something like that. What I couldn't believe was neither Baili nor LZ countered him with that or just plain punch him lol

That might be it..., I don't feel stuff when I watch her acting... personally, when she cries, it literally looks like water was drained down her eyes.. when that is against the backdrop of SKJ who conveys each emotion brilliantly, her lack of talent in that aspect becomes obvious... her chemistry with co-stars might be credited to her co-stars too

Right?! At the park, when their photo was taken, does it mean SH was following LZ or they were just both there at the same time? I couldn't see it properly

The one thing I thought they did nicely was tying their childhood meeting to the present and how it came up at that scene... the 2019 version never did that

I even thought they might even have inserted a different actor altogether as the bf as I totally forgot what he looked like! The writers definitely rushed it with Mingrui and Zhan Yan and it wasn't to their advantage. The longer this show went on for, the lower its rating became. I def wanted a better finish for Mingrui and he deserved it, it was so great to see him smile albeit a little incredulously at his luck with that girl who just came out of nowhere! Even with Baili going off after some guy to a country town, that wasn't explained properly either when Baili first left and they could've had Ge Bi sincerely apologise to Baili as his redemption... And with the ending, did they explain why SH was at the school as well? Or was it to give the same talk as LZ did?

And that text at the end... a bit ambiguous but I thought it was a dig at the 2019 version

I think it may be a cultural thing... obviously life in Australia for me, when you break up with someone that's it, no matter what they say, you're broken up. How they react is none of my business after that and I don't care. I think in Korea after reading up about it, both parties have to agree before you're declared broken up? Not sure if that's rule of thumb or... just courtesy? From that perspective, I could then understand her actions and she explained why she took the engagement ring as it frustrated me too when I first watched it.

As for the sisters being secretive, another cultural thing. They didn't tell only because they didn't want the other to be worried esp the domestic violence. It's also not an easy thing to bring up with your sisters who look up to you so much. I think they're as close as can be for a South Korean family.

SITR is def inferior to this one in terms of quality... I didn't like it at all.

Now that the 2021 adaptation is finished, this version def had a better ending !

The ending for Mingrui was ridiculous... why bother with a girl who appeared for 15 seconds?! And Ze Zhayan's bf waking up from a coma after 5 yrs?! Did anybody even remember them then or care?! Even more ridiculous! Didn't love the ending but at least it's finally finished! Am currently reading the novel as am curious as to how it actually ends. Now back to rewatching the 2019 to restore my faith in this story!

Most definitely. To make matters worse, they show that diary at the end where it says, quit while you're ahead and give the best ending? It almost felt like a dig at the 2019 adaptation but their ending was so much better!

The novels are by the same author and it all takes place at the same high school but the stories don't relate. There's a mention of characters from the other books in each series but insignificant... "With You" is the other book/series.

Just curious... in ep 4, BW is jogging and then taps a card on a machine, what's that for?

My first looking kdrama and I liked it. Really enjoyed the romance between the leads, didn't care one bit for the brother and his romance.

Isn't he just gorgeous? Fell in love with him im Cheese Trap then watched Third Charm, that confirmed to me he was a good actor... AYHT and Watcher I'm planning to watch soon. Cant get enough of him lol

I don't like her either. I find her not authentic in her acting if that makes any sense... loved the ML tho, I think the actor portrayed that character really well

Just watched 35 & 36. 35 had the sweetest moment when SH found out LZ was the little girl, probably the best he's acted this whole series. 35 probably my fav ep, to actually see them so happy together after all they'd been through.

if you want to get technical, it's pretty much someone in their last yr of high sch being with someone who just started so it's not too bad but I think they could've casted someone who looked older as that little girl looked bout 7!
