I very much prefer this character to the 2019 adaptation... I wonder if they'll play the arc where he likes LZ as well in this one...

Love that the 2021 adaptation is also bringing attention to this 2019 one as it truly deserves more recognition.

The more I watch of Mingrui the more you gotta love him. He was so decisive in rejecting Xingqi it was refreshing after the wishy washy of every other character... his smile is beautiful too!

I felt the same way. The FL felt very docile and monotone with no uninteresting.

My heart fluttered then crashed with the ending even if it was realistic and I'd already taken an optimistic view of it. Reminded me a lot of Before Sunrise in a way

Loved this show, even if only for the FL's strength

Glad I didn't listen to the reviews and watched this. Loved this show, first time I've seen the FL and second time watching ML, I didn't really like Backstreet Rookie. The steamiest shower kiss alone can save this show from being a really bad one haha

Right?! so adult like and mysterious, gave his character a bit of an edge :) Just a different hairstyle and he's grown up lol

Pretty much all kdramas are predictable nowadays and most plots are the same. I felt quite good after watching it, not bored, not frustrated, just right, I guess you can't go in with too much expectations

I actually thought after reading all the reviews that it'd be totally crap but I was pleasantly surprised, ended up rating it 8/10

They're aesthetically perfect, aren't they?! He's super hot

I finished Run On just yday before I picked this up again, they both have the same vibe ie none of those typical melos so it's refreshingly nice

Best thing about this drama? The kisses! I watched many a cdramas and the ML is the best so far, a lil consolation for his aching neck :)
