Are we even watching the same drama? Uk sulked for a day and you're here calling him a crybaby. If you paid enough…
You guys are not wrong. But I'm seeing the whole picture. All the interactions point to what I'm saying. It doesn't matter if they don't feel or act that way now. Analyzing Uk's character alone, that's the conclusion I made. He's not in this shit for pride or power, he's in for love (in all aspects), to have a clear conscience, and to live happily ever after. Naksu is an assassin, so it's only natural she's not interested in romance rn. She's definitely not conscious of her feelings yet, but she knows her bond with Uk is not just a coincidence, she used the word "destined" to describe it. Even her assassin self would spare Uk from being killed. Now that the bond is getting thicker... she used to be alone all the time, that kind of bond matters. I don't think we should be concerned with their romance. We all know it will happen eventually, and I don't think the sisters are depicting it in a bad way. They're building it beautifully.
I disagree. My mind almost exploded from all the hints they left. I'm still processing some information.
If every episode had a big BIG development the show would look cheap like a morning drama. There's only so much you can show without exhausting watchers.

The guy said he can't marry because he has someone he likes. He could marry and still help her achieve her goals if he wanted. But SHE doesn't want to stay as his maid if he marries choyeon. Do the writers need to spell it out? Just because they're not pursuing each other doesn't mean they don't have romantic feelings deep inside. What's more romantic than putting their lives at risk to save each other. Do they have to kiss to things turn into romance?
I feel like sometimes you guys underestimate what a well written romance can do for an action drama.I also expect…
we'll have to wait and see. for now, I like that Yul is not there just because of the FL. He's there for the ML as well. He's also smart, so I don't think he'll sulk too much. Idk, I might be wrong. But their past is not that tragic. I don't think things will get much worse between them.

When I say his motivation is love, I'm not talking only about his feelings for Mudeok. He didn't want to be a mage to prove to others that he is Jank Kang's son. He wanted to prove to his father. To show he's his son and earn his love/respect. Why did I assume this? Uk was ready to give up being a mage to live in the woods with the girl he likes. He's also the kind of person who can easily persuade anyone, which means he pays attention to everyone. People full of pride can't read the room. Of course, he has pride. He doesn't want to be a laughing stock. But that's not his primal motivation.

Then you're missing a lot of points of the drama. I don't want to sound rude, but the writers already made things very obvious. Yes, there's admiration and they need each other to achieve goals, but there's also sexual tension. You don't need more than a week to fall in love, especially when they have so many risky situations where they had to protect one another. Fall in love is not something they want rn, but they're clearly developing romantic feelings for each other.
I actually like her character since she needs to be a restrained and patient, skills which an assassin must have…
I think deep inside she cares about his feelings but she grow up alone, so she lacks lots of sympathy points. she's also in a hurry, desperate to retrieve her powers fearing the possibility to run wild. I can empathize with her. She's doing great besides her dark upbringing.
am i the only one that thinks naksu/mudeok has more chemistry with the crown prince rather than yul? to me it…
You're right, it's kind of a bummer to see their interaction was that short. I don't like that kind of instant love. I like the kind of love that marinates a little longer to grow stronger.
