Also, mastering his powers means he will part ways with the girl he likes. So yeah, he's not too eager to train. He's not idle, he's actually training right now.

Yes!! He clearly is motivated by love, not power. The fact he desperately wanted to unlock his powers was to prove his dad he was actually his son, and by that gain his father's love/respect. I love him so much🤧

This episode had so much new information! Since both Mudeok and Naksu souls are inhabiting the same body, there's no gap to malice entering the body. That's the reason she didn't run wild. The question is: is this sustainable long term?

The guy clearly said he needs motivation to do things and Park Jin destroyed his main motivation to be a powerful mage. He needs time to figure out what to do now. By the end of episode 5 he found some motivation.
