I get it why she broke up - I understand how hard it is to live with sby who actually regrets meeting you the day you restarted you relationship it is really a heart and soul breaker.
But what I don't get is how easily she moves on , may it is bcos of her life long experience of transferring from one place to another leaving people , friends, relationships behind thus she developed such a hard core!
Or may be she feared that she would become like her mother and turn the guy like her father!
But still even if it was the case I personally wouldn't have married anyone in the end , had given myself time to heal and reflect. Would have been better with an open ending.
I think the creators messed up in the end, they already had the ending in mind and they just wanted to reach there any way disregarding the natural flow of the storyline.
If I were the writer , after their last conversation in brides room , I would have let Woo and his friends leave the wedding and the Seung hee realising her true feelings and the feeling of the guy , would have walked out of the wedding after apologizing to the groom . Woo would have been unaware of all this and moved on with his life as teacher.
And after few months Seung hee ,having reorganized her thoughts went to his school and sang her song on the speaker and the surprised Woo comes running out of his class and they hug each other in the middle of school!

Movie is very slow in first half , which is quite understandable seeing how old the movie is!
But the second half is where it really shines and can get a bit emotional , some scenes were really good esp the mother forgiveness scene.

You want 10/10 for this series ? I guess you don't watch any good dramas do you?
If it's 10/10 what about Law school , Stranger , Beyond evil , Flower of evil etc ?
I won't give it more than 7.5 , even verified ratings is 7.99 !

if you like law drama watch "Law school " its one of the best , filled with suspense , knowledge and friendship.

Although I like the series overall but some scenes certainly can trigger a sane guy to madness lol!
My fav trigger scenes are -
1. When that Gay guy ambushes the lady officer in basement of the office archives and Kang Joo actually calls the det. Jin hyuk who is outside on chase ! I mean lady why dont just go to the basement yourself with your team? Why waste precious time?
2. The bus rescue scene was hilarious too. I mean when you know that gas is leaking why not first try to stop it before rescuing? Even after when they saw the sparking , why not try to extinguish it ? when are you going to use that bloody fire truck standing behind you for prop!

I was too, pleasantly surprised by ' Be with You' it was really a heartwarming and therapeutic movie. It reminded me of the the monk's life in ' My Mister'.
The 'Untamed ' had the same impression on me , while watching I was constantly wondering why the heck is it so highly rated? It was too fluffy and corny for my taste , but I guess the target audience was pre teens! Although it gets decent in second half but still the ML makes such dumb moves and gets ambushed which any normal IQ guy could see coming from miles and he is supposed to be street smart ! lol!
"Untamed " and "Ten miles " made me confident that C drama are highly over- rated and I avoid them bcos of their childishness and stupidity.
Until now I have liked only three C drama - Langya Bang , Ming Lang , Joy of Life.
If you have watched any quality C drama , I may try to push my comfort zone too!
Although if you want to try some Indian series , I'll recommend - TVF Pitchers , The Family Man , Scam 1992 : The Harshad mehta story.

I think the solution to this lies with both creators and watchers.

For creators- My suggestion is to write a character with at least a basic intellect and maturity according to character's age and era. And to also pay attention to changing trends in ethics and morality of the society as much as they pay attention to changing fashion! And all tropes can't be put in a same category , there are certain tropes which are connected deeply with human behavior and others are connected with the social trends. And with change in generation new social trends emerges and the old tropes go down the drain same like fashion.

For watchers- I can only say this , always remember, every day a new child is born in this world for whom every thing is new and so a new watcher also emerges who would go lala over even the most basic plot! And so you reach a point in time where you have to realise that your generation is no longer the target audience of majority of dramas! Or May be you have reached a level of maturity where most people or the target audience haven't reached yet. It happened to me when I watched Goblin and Untamed and I was like what a cringy drama and then I saw the ratings, reviews! lol.

For this you need to first understand that why does the Doom realy hates human? He hates them bcos of their shameless selfishness and cruelty.
The FL is the one who is selfless , she takes care of her brother , and even takes blame for her colleagues,
She has been living only for others and never had time to even think about herself , her needs or future and now when she is adult and may have a chance at life , she finds out that she has only 3 months to live!
But she doesnt even know what to do in the remaining time , only thing she desires is for her kid brother to have good life and her friends to be succesful and then leave this world in peace.
Isnt this was Doom has been desiring for his whole life to leave in peace , with no regrets no desires no hopes lingering ?
so obviously he got intrigued by our FL when he saw their thinking is on similar level . What is so hard to understand in this.

I have watched 7 ep and its good for me till now.
Main complain I hear is about FL charcter being boring but I dont see so , I think it may be difficult for young teens to connect with her bcoz of the level of pain she endure but keeps stable temperament even when pushed to limits, some people might get repulsed by that I guess.
About the plot I think this deity character is make it or brake it, I am most suspicious about her character.

Have you watched avenger? where did you think infinity war was faught? Where did you think was the cave where Iron man suit was built ? Where did you think Dr strange was trained and faught?

Can you highlight some flaws in her character ?

I never said they altered cctv , the fact that they planned so meticulously just to confuse the police shows their intellect and presence of mind. Compare this with not able to see the only white car in
front of your house in the night , and the Prosecutor didn't even changed her car , she just came on stakeout in her own personal car! And yet she was somehow "
hidden" , that's just lazy writing
Secondly, she just wanted to talk with him , he could have just came out of the house and talk to her, even the ID is nothing to worry about it's an employee id not a wallet or driving license!
You can't prove his presence just by a
company ID!

And the writing had some holes but the second half was esp bad and the reason is this-
1. I cant believe how easily the lady prosecutor took the taxi's photo while going in the garage! She was sitting in her 'white' car in the middle of the night just in front of the house and yet Kim do gi who is the ace of the drama couldnt spot her ! Even a pre schooler could spot her she was that obvious!
Compare this -
with 1st episode tunnel scene where they
manipulated even the Cctv
by master technique.
2. The terrace scene when prosecutor visits Kim Do gi first time and spots two car keys one in bed room and one outside! It was such a stupid move bcos prosecuter just wanted to talk to him thus there was no need for him to invite her in , he could have just talked to her outside the room!
Even noobs know not to invite officer even when you are innocent bcos they are expert in finding sth illegal and cause you trouble.
3 The way that Prison lady entered Mr Jang house was esp stupid , the house has multiple cameras top notch security system, a secret tunnel with basement and yet a whole gang just entered their living room and they didnt notice!
4. The way Kim do gi entered an embassy with fucking smoke bombs! lol. Do they even know the level and layers of security there is, in an embassy?

This private prison for revenge is not a knew thing in Korean movies, remember old boy !
Secondly , prison was generally for serious criminals who got out with a lesser or no prison time at all due to lack of evidence. The Prison lady head was not known to be a serious criminal back then and was considered to be just a loan shark by people , the fact that she was running an organ ring was not know to Mr Jang and so he used her and took a calculated risk.

And Mr Jang never ment for them to be reformed bcos he felt that these people lack empathy , and so his goal was to instill psychological fear in them that if they ever thought about it again this will happen to them. Which was evident in that fat lady of insurance , who even after escaping went to police bcos of her fear of being caught again by Mr Jang.

Wouldn't that destroy your carrier if you let your client sentenced? And even then how are you going to achieve this if you are a junior? By backstabbing your senior , by reveling the criminal info of your client to opposing counsel?

What if your client is guilty? You always starts as Junior , what if you know that your client is guilty still your senior or firm is going to fight for him? Would you still be proud and motivated ?

Its very good in regards to Character development and facing real life choices and regrets. But I watched the whole drama with almost straight face! May be bcos its too old and I saw through almost all tropes and twists!
Mild Spoiler-
My fav character is the child artist and fav moments are with his grandma in second half that's the thing actually touched me cos I didn't saw that coming!

Also , the story of MingLan, love and hate bw FL and SML.
Also, My Mister, FL first sabotaging his career then protecting it later on!

Beyond evil is good but not comparable to Signal.
BE used deliberate manipulation and creepy overacting as a tool to intensify the thriller which is not a good sign if you want to be called a Masterpiece.Personally I think ,Flower of evil is better than BE , a good thriller uses misdirection not manipulation and the characters hide in plain sight and behave normally and don't do creepy overacting.
Watch Dexter if you are really interested in thriller experience.

It's good one time watch, not at all scary for me.
