It's a 7 yr old drama , u would have guessed it nonetheless , But at that time no one in their wildest dream thought about this concept , and its execution is still par excellence. I have yet to find a time reverse drama which can top this.

I don't think there is anything wrong about it , I mean hypocrisy is the currency in the world. People just do things they don't like. Although I think it's little immature on her part cus it definitely hurts drama creators from whose content she is making money BUT It might also be a case that she thinks in her own head of being true to herself and not faking to like the drama to cheat her viewers.

As an Indian I can tell you family intervention is very normal , I can't say about present gen but in past it was pretty normal. For better perspective , I can share you a personal experience. I was a kid then, around 2006 I guess, My second aunt was pregnant with her 3rd kid and she came to the house & my maternal grandmother was also there. So I thought it would be a fun time so I came happy but as soon I entered the room it was very chilly , a pin drop silence followed as if they suddenly stopped bcos I entered. I can still remember all the faces my aunt was sitting on floor facing TV , mother was on chair besides her & grandmother on sofa facing them. I sat down a little far and pretended watching TV and soon some heated words were spoke. But then I couldn't understand why it was happening. Later on when I overheard telephone conversation I found out that grandmother wanted her to abort the kid but aunt wanted to keep it. As for the reason for grandmother to be against was 1) Aunt got a job just a year or so ago, so financial situation was not that stable compared to us & 1 st aunt. 2) There was some govt policy against promotion of govt employees if they had > 2 kids to control population (inspiration from China). So remember if this can happen after marriage for a legit kid , you can get pretty good idea for outside marriage! PS: the kid is now 16 and is very outspoken and fun! Sometimes I wonder how empty it would feel without him!

It's a necessary thing, to give you a background of this character's psyche so that you'll be able to understand his future actions and motivation. This drama is now regarded as the best Xianxia drama , it's better than AOL , Ten miles , Untamed etc. It has one of the best woven story line for this length story and amazing chemistry.
