Mhm this is rlly what i think too! n the part where expressing our own opinions is not allowed an would get attacked with big paragraph responses :') but srly im not tryna badmouth this drama, its just what i think from watching the trailer they provided. After dropping Miss The Dragon, Good and Evil, Love and Redemption, and many more with poor cgi, i've rlly tried to raise my standards in dramas. And chinese dramaland is normalising voice dubbing too which is disappointing. For example, 2022 Eternal Love's male lead, Dylan Wang in the trailer MDL provided had his voice dubbed. But in the end, i really hope i am wrong, n this drama's final production will actually be good!

mm idk, i’ve seen too many like it. ancient love poetry is so far the best CGI, bc they got the entire game team to help them and make it as realistic and they can. Im not sure abt this one, but we’ll see..
the only reason i'll watch this is bc of xiao zhan, lets be honest.. his nvr been in much romance dramas. but after watching the trailer i dont even know if i will finish the entire drama.. the CGI is just too poor... it lacks the proper texture, doesn't interacts with the real life characters and lighting, it doesn't feel natural. When it comes to xian xia dramas, if the CGI is poor (chinese dramaland rarely meets the standards) i can't focus on the story, i end up laughing abt it lmfaoo.

And it slowly developed into different styles (accents) depending on what region you live in, resulting in many different dialect.
So in the China, they call the ‘Standard Mandarin’ where there isn’t much weird accents and can be understood clearly by everyone. Thats the mandarin Esther Yu speaks along with many cdrama casts who are not dubbed, they likely speak the standard chinese.
Dylan Wang speaks in a different mandarin.(chinese people may likely spot that out in Meteor Garden) And depending on the dynasty in this CangLanJue film, director would want all casts especially the Main Leads to speak in the same kind of ‘tone’. So Dylan wang most likely have been dubbed. BUT, this is just a trailer, and maybe his voice wasnt dubbed, meaning the director didnt put much thoughts into this and didnt care. But it should, because different dynasties in ancient china have different dialect.
I hope people reading this have a better understanding why Cdramas or Chinese Web Dramas have so many casts voice being dubbed and sound similar in eVery SiNgle DraMa 😂
