DJX is like a drowning person because of his father's choices and SZ threw him a lifeline. That's more than enough to make him fall for her. Add to that, she's already someone special to him as a child. My thought is that she is like his immediate family bec he gets to take care of her which he never had a chance to do for his mother since she died prematurely.

I agree with you. This drama is certainly unique even though the plot is not something new. I think it's the main leads and a good storyline. The director doesn't need to push the leads. They're perfect for the role and their dynamics are awesome. ZL, CZY and VM did a wonderful job along with the rest of the cast and crew. The chemistry and the visuals of the main CP is also outstanding. How can this drama be not a hit?

My POV: I don't think it's sudden. SZ has always had a special place in DJX heart. She's a special person that he felt protective of bec she was young and his best friend's sister. His feelings started to change when he got surgery and SZ was there for him until he was discharged. She even went to accompany him home and wrote reminders on stickers so that he won't forget to take his meds and also eat on time and sleep early. When she protected him from JY bullying, I think this was a defining moment for him where he realised that she is someone who makes his life worthwhile. SZ also keeps reminding him that she's not a kid anymore and I think that also helped to change the way he looked at her.

As he should! After all that's part of their story. And it's really sweet and poignant. Because even though he realised that he's in love, he also felt he's not worthy of the girl. Poor DJX. JY family almost ruined his life. Good thing SZ knows how to fight for her man! In the end, we have our sweet, happy ending. Gah!!! Lusi and Zheyuan are awesome in this drama. They practically ooze chemistry!!!

I'm guessing Lusi is used to dramatising kissing scenes so well. Like it's not real on set but with the camera angle, it looks so real on screen. But it looks like CZY really made it real it shocked her 😂 😂😂 she ran away from embarrassment. After all the kissing scenes she did in her previous dramas, she's still so shy. My POV ofc.

I agree. Even the background instrumental music complements the mood of the characters so much so it keeps me riveted to the screen and I want more of them. I hope Youku release at least 2 episodes daily!

I'm with you. I like CZY in OS but after that, his next succeeding dramas showed similar emotions. I know everybody loved Mr. B but the acting wasn't that great for me. But here in HL, he is just perfect as DJX and he projected DJX to perfection in my opinion. He now shows those little nuances that conveys the inner struggles of the character and I applaud him for this. Together with Lusi, they make a killer combination that keeps me riveted to my screen for re watch. LOL .......... Youku is so stingy they only give us one episode a day!

You're right. You can either correct them or leave them to their ignorance. But if they truly read the novel or even watch the drama, they'd see for themselves that it was SZ who had feelings for him while she was still young and DJX always looked at her affectionately like a little sister. It was only when they re united in Yihe that he began to see her in a completely different light and started falling for her.

He's clueless but he's always had a soft spot for SZ. He only realized SZ was referring to him when Qian Fei told him that the guy SZ is describing is him.

Some ppl said that CZY didn't need tutorial since he's a good kisser based on his kissing scenes with his previous FL. I agree that he's a good kisser but ZL is the professional kisser 😅😂🥰 CZY previous FL can't pull off kissing scenes as sexy and swoon worthy as Lusi with her MLs.
