I understand, I never hated Chungha, I feel bad for both of them to be honest. It’s like we are just witnesses to two people who have to grow and grow apart. Even in real life, this will be just as complicated and there will be no clear answers.

Agree with everything you said. And please excuse my TMI LOL, I’ve been in a relationship myself that got ended abruptly after a family tragedy (involving a car accident too (O_O)) and there were sooo many questions for a while but at some point you realize none of the answers would matter.

“the writers are not allowing her to be smart” I was hoping sooo damn much this is not the case but I’ve given up hoping and decided to not focus on this. There are still many things I like about the drama.

Whenever Chungha or the mother is up, the mood totally shifts. I also wonder how different things could have been although I was thankful for it at first because I wanted a sensitive story, not a sob story. The last case felt somehow lacking in details, the Chungha situation seemed to have snowballed way too much, I hope they can get back on track soon.

PSA: HE BROKE UP WITH HER 2 YEARS AGO. TWO YEARS AGO, not last month. There is no good enough reason if you are on the receiving end of a break-up, you will always feel jilted. But Taehee in fact had a life altering reason to want to move on away from Chungha. Do you expect to drag the whole separation for 5 painful years to make it somehow proportional to the 10 years? Anyway I think everyone and their mothers here agree that this ex and makjang mother storyline is unnecessary, they serve absolutely no purpose except maybe to show the extent of Taehee’s trauma. That it was so bad he broke off a 10-yr relationship because of it. But given that, I don’t understand why you would question anyone deciding to move on from someone, it reminds me of Summer in 500 Days of Summer which was worse because there was nondead brother involved. Just someone who grew out of love.

What I like best about the kiss is that it was not a careless, frantic kiss. He kissed her once said “I like you” and kissed again ajsjajajhsdg

I agree. See even if you remove Dongju from the picture, things are not the same for Taehee. I couldn’t hate Chungha nor Taehee because every person deals with changes differently.

I turned subs for my native language and the sentence, unlike in English, was plain and unambiguous (not sure about the accuracy). Wow what you said is another angle to it but makes sense if you take into context the response. This is the reason I sometimes watch key scenes in different platforms. For example I used to switch between netflix and iqiyi.

I used other languages in the subs and when they asked “how did you two meet for 10 years” the translation was “how did they date for that long”. They did not run into each other after a decade. This is what I meant in my previous comment that there were many things amiss because of the translations.

Yes the timing is another thing I appreciate about this. The connections are introduced early, if they were shown later as plot twists (which they aren’t) for the shock value, they’d feel so out place.

I am actually thankful they pulled the reins on the cryfest, I was worried it was gonna border on being vulgar. In episode 8 we see them still tackling death and loss but not have the funeral setting in the background.

The change was deliberate. I find this better. What’s the need to have another Move To Heaven and Tomorrow.

And finally an English title I like better than the Korean original. “May I Help You” is perfect for the story.

These lines are not necessarily dialogues together but I find them thoughful and gave details to the characters.

She didn’t have the letter. The woman sent it to the radio program not knowing whether or not it will be picked. Dongjoo made sure that happened. Aside from being the dead woman’s wish, that was the only course of action she knew as far as she is aware coz who would she read it to because she doesn’t know where the husband is. Thankfully it reached Taehee who was the one to put the puzzle pieces together. Unknowingly, they worked together to fulfill the woman’s wish.
