oooh, true true, I've actually had a chance to read the novel, and the drama and novel WKX are still slightly different. honestly though, I suppose this really comes to the question of whether what he did was right or wrong. because technically, with the previous episodes, he didn't outright kill any of the people who fought for the liulijia, but he did technically caused it though it did stem from their greed, so who knows? I guess we can just say that there's no pure evil and there's no pure white either.
Omgg, ahaha, I totally agree with this. Is it bad that I kind of laughed while WKX was going through all the denial,…
Oooh, yess, ahh but to be honest though, half the time I'm kind of confused about WKX as a person, like before, when we was talking to the other ghosts, was he just pretending to be out-of-it or was he really like that because of his past/painful experiences?
Ep. 14 should be titled Wen Ke Xing Five Stages of Grief. Only in his case, there no acceptance but Skimming.
Omgg, ahaha, I totally agree with this. Is it bad that I kind of laughed while WKX was going through all the denial, anger and bargaining with the argument, depression with the crying-in-the-rain-and-destroying-the-flute, and then he just kind of ignores it and saw it as pointless to be with ZZS on the surface. and then he just goes on with the focus of revenge.
I would assume it's because WKX's being pretty negative about his newfound knowledge that ZZS is going to die. I believe WKX wanted ZZS to at least try to extend his life, whether it is without martial arts or with martial arts, and WKX is just having a hard time dealing with all the loss. On the other hand, ZZS thought WKX would at least understand why he wouldn't get rid of his martial arts ability to live another 10 years, and so they kind of fought over it.
I truly love this drama. It's really refreshing for a drama to have two anti-heroes as the leads, not one. The…
Oooh, I 100% percent agree with this. In the past, there's always been the historical cdramas that have these 'righteous' heros that just get kind of frustrating, but I rather think cdramas in general are starting to change a bit to this anti-hero side. though it's still pretty common in cdramas, where the 'righteous' groups turn out bad (which I honestly think would happen in this drama too) and the 'evil' isn't all that evil.
and yess, strong relationships that really do focus on getting past things and recovering together is honestly amazing too. that connection and everythingg
Yes! But the raining scene and there's going to be more heartbreaking scene coming forward :( But I'm looking…
Ahhh, truee, sjksdson I do hope the hearbreaking scene isn't coming too soon because they basically just made uppp
and as for Ye Baiyi, in the novel, without spoiling too much, they definitely have a connection though I'm not sure if they recall it or not. ahaha, reminds me of how cdramas or kdramas always have that childhood connection type of thing
It's Long-Tongued Ghost who pretend to be Hanging Ghost in ep 6
Ooh, yup, but is long-tongued ghost also the one who pretended to be hanging ghost in episode 2? (when they exterminated the whole mirror lake) and how did long-tongued ghost get the soul winding box?
Hi :) May I ask if it is possible to see the list of actors/actresses that I have liked? (Just a few days ago, I stumbled across an actress, and I was going to watch some of her shows but I forgot her name, so I was wondering if there is a way to see her page again since I have hearted her page)
For those who have also read the novel ~ 1) I've read the translation that was a bit funky, so I feel like I might have misinterpreted it. At the end of the novel, did Gu Xiang and Cao Weining die? and then, there was another chapter on how they were together in the afterlife? or did I completely mis-read that part? 2) In the novel, Wen Kexing's father was a friend of Rong Xuan's wife, where Rong Xuan's wife gave the key to Wen Kexing's father, which resulted in the death of WKX's parents death. So my question was: will this drama also reflect that? or is the drama planning on making WKX Rong Xuan's son? 3) And to clarify, Ye Baiyi was Rong Xuan's master, and he once took care of WKX and ZZS?
On another note, does anyone know where I can read the original, Chinese novel free?
Here's my understanding of the past 12 episodes: 1. The first piece is in Gao Chong's hands.2. The second piece…
Ahaha yup! About the 6th piece/key though, it's more of my assumption; I'm not sure if the drama will actually follow the novel's plot.
Oooh, I thought about it a lot actually, with the Hanging Ghost, but I thought it wasn't necessarily WKX although the hand with red clothes could be WKX. So, we know that Hanging Ghost had the Soul Winding box, and for some reason, it ended up with Long-tongued ghost before it went back to WKX in episode 6. So there seemed to be two possibilities: either WKX killed Hanging Ghost then gave it to someone which eventually led to long-tongued ghost (and honestly, I wouldn't put it off of WKX to give the liulijia away just for revenge since WKX didn't even care about the pieces except for its use as a revenge tool ) OR someone else killed Hanging Ghost (perhaps prince xie? I'm not too sure though)
Can anyone help me figure out what's happening with the 5 pieces of the Glazed Armour? They've changed hands so…
Here's my understanding of the past 12 episodes:
1. The first piece is in Gao Chong's hands. 2. The second piece went from Shen Shen to Gao Chong. 3. The third piece went from Zhang Chengling to Gao Chong. 4. The forth piece went from Zhao Jing to the traitors (and I totally forgot their names) to Changing Ghost to Long-tongued Ghost to Wen Kexing. This is also the piece that WKX made fake copies of. 5. The fifth piece went from Lu Tai Chong to his disciplines. Although Ao Lai Zi was killed, there is no evidence that Lu Tai Chong's two disciplines gave Ao Lai Zi the glazed armor. In episode 6, Changing Ghost noted that he was framing Ao Lai Zi's death to the 5 Lake Alliance, and during his conversation with Prince Xie (Scorpion King), it is clear that he does not have a piece, meaning it is highly likely that the piece of glazed armor is still in the hands of Lu Tai Chong's disciplines (if they haven't died yet). --> this is a bit relatively unknown
In episode 10 to 11, we see that the Ghost Valley did not have any success in giving WKX any part of the glazed armor, so either some of them are lying (most of them aren't loyal anyways) or they actually don't have any pieces. Adding to the mess is the royal princes, too.
Now with the question of episode 1, where WKX mentioned that Hanging Ghost stole his glazed armor piece. The main possibility is that there is a 6th glazed armor, or more like key. From the novel (I read a portion of it), there is a key other than the pieces of glazed armor, so I would assume that the one WKX had is the key. Also, WKX most likely has a strong relationship with Rong Xuan (perhaps a close acquaintance or maybe even father-son) so it does make sense if WKX actually has the key/6th piece. ~getting the untamed vibes~
omg, ahaha, I had the exact same question, and I thought I may have missed something while watching the episodes.…
Oo, I'm not sure about that actually :0 and I haven't had the chance to watch/read the interview, so I'll leave it to someone else to answer ~ (or do you happen to have the link of the interview at hand?) on another note though, we kind of know from the intro/opening of each episode that Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu knew each other when they were young. so I would assume, from what you mentioned, that perhaps it was when he was 9 years old, that his parents got murdered, and he kind of was trapped in his mind that way? so technically, they met before his nightmare began.
Screw it imma just watch the newest episodes with my elementary level Chinese and watch again after it's subbed…
awww, ahaha *high fives* ugh, I can't believe it's only one episode each day though; we'll have to wait until the end of march to actually finish the drama. I semi-wish I haven't started this drama until it finishes airing
omg, ahaha, I had the exact same question, and I thought I may have missed something while watching the episodes.…
I haven't had the chance to read the novel, so I'm not entirely sure about what will happen later on in the drama. However, *huge spoilers from episode 11 and 12*
It can be assumed that Wen Kexing's father is Rong Xuan, and essentially, 20 years ago, Rong Xuan was pretty famous and was obsessed with martial arts. Eventually, the 5 alliances turned on him, resulting in his suicide. It is mentioned that the reason Rong Xuan went 'crazy' was because he got poisoned by Gao Chong's sword, although it is unclear if the Gao Chong is the actual one to poison him or not. Of the 5 groups, it's pretty clear that Mirror Lake did not have anything to do with it (from the letter Zhang Chenglin's father wrote in episode 11). Also! From the introduction of each episode (the 2 minute of 'trailer'-kind of thing), we can kind of assume that the real 'mastermind' behind everything might be Zhao Jing. (omg, it's always that seemingly peaceful guy that turned out to be the evil guy in cdramas)
And as for any betrayal between the two characters, I'm not sure since I haven't read the novel, but so far up to episode 12, there isn't really any betrayal. although in around episode 9 or 10, they fought a bit on Wen Kexing's actions over the Liulijia.
