Reckless main character syndrome. Endangering everyone around her..she doesn't belong in a battlefield. her potentially getting hurt (or even offended apparently ?) would have catastrophic consequences on ML and his friends.

if she wants to play nice doctor , I am sure there are multiple nice nobles and nice commoners alike coughing blood in her nice palace.

I am really disliking multiple dynamics these last 2 episodes:
That whole stunt with FL and the sui brother , and the military disciplinary masquerade.. Seriously the most disappointing thing is the ML.. I don't understand any of his decisions and it seems most of it is just to drive the misunderstanding trope.
I hate that Princess so damn much even fastfowarding her scenes aren't enough anymore cuz she appears more and more with leads.
I dislike that they keep making all the men around FL like her. especially that bandit leader dude who i was really hoping they develop a sincere camaraderie kind of relationship.

On the bright side FL got one hell of Epic fight scene. so I hope we get to witness more badassery and growth from her .

I really dislike that princess character. reckless and doesn't care about the danger she could be putting others in just to protect her. I am sure there are all sorts of sick people right at the palace if her intent was noble. but no let's go girlbossing at battlefield for romance.

so I guess white haired creep is also deceiving his brother and might have his own agenda

like that snake scene was just too gratuitous 🤣 evil doesn't begin to describe him

the sui younger brother reminds me of Geoffrey lmao. hope we get an as satisfying death for him as well 🙏

The whole sequence in the town, from an choreography, cinematography, story and emotional standpoint , was perfectly filmed and executed.
ngl I never really liked this FL before . Found her a bit childish in some of her earlier characters. But I cannot imagine someone else in this role. she is exquisite in every scene.
the actress struck the perfect balance of a young naive country girl but strong and resilient. she now goes to my top 5 FLs easily.

I still get the creeps whenever I see that white haired lord and fast forward his scenes. But man that brother of his. now his kinda of creeps in entertaining. he was cray cray . Getting hit by all those arrows and smiling that devilishly. I wish he also has plot armor and survives.

one thing I appreciate is how conscious screenwriters of how handsome ML is, and so they had characters make remarks abt it. I always found it weird in other shows where FL or ML are standouts look wise but the people around them aren't noticing or even think they are ugly if plot calls for it.

ngl couldn't care less about manager yu and what his face qi's relationship. And also crossdresser princess and the ML's friend. I feel like skipping both their scenes most of the times. unless ML or FL are in those scenes as well.
But I am enjoying other side characters though, the neighbors ,Mr Li , even the insufferable gossip lady had a touching moment today ..

Even with its disappointing ending imo, this is my favorite xianxia ever . I am finding myself rewatching some key episodes so many times and enjoying the subtle details all over again.
I appreciate the ambition of the idea of the show here. And after so many rewatches still so firmly behind the FL's pov 😁

this is one of the better ones in 2025. I keep coming back to and rewatching multiple iconic scenes. I wasnt the biggest fan of the ending tbh or it would have been a solid 10 for me, but the premise and execution of so much of it was pretty refreshing. this felt like no other xianxia tbh

found ending underwhelming when I usually eat up these types of endings. and I can't believe i am saying this but #justiceforSML

I fucking hate that princess. yes the dynamic with the emperor is intriguing but that's due to emperor being a bored masochistic and she being his ideal woman because she is a spoiled brat with an entitled attitude.
BUT SML didn't force her to do shit and was honest from the get go. she CHOSE to love him, she CHOSE to marry him and she CHOSE to escape with him. matter of a fact till the very end of their way back to SML's country , he offered her to go back. AND she refused. how is he then responsible for her delusions being shattered

I guess I am so traumatized by midle episodes I keep waiting for FL to stop being strong and smart but it never happens here.

also , so many things are happenning that it feels like the final episodes of a ahow .
