I see people saying Jing is cheating as if he isn't literally being forced into a marriage and hadn't adamantly expressed to everyone that could listen in his family that he won't marry fyy. his grandma even pretended to agree to end it if he tried to safeguard fyy's rep. He also has been forthright and told fyy that he is in love with someone else meanwhile fyy is dallying with his own brother and attempting to assassinate him lmao. He is abiding by rules to try and get rid of himself of the marriage instead of saying screw responsibilities and fyy. We all can find that frustrating but rationally he will afterall be trying to present himself to the emperor to marry his daughter. A princess. he can't afford to just disregard family and reputation. that's why he told XY that it would have easy if she weren't a princess.
I'm up to chapter 11 and I wish they had kept some of the Jing parts as they are in the book.
heard other people saying so too. I havent yet reached the jing parts that were omitted. hopefully we get more sweet yaojing moments in the show. i live for those
I made it to chapter 5 in the novel. it's great revisiting all the scenes in the dramas and getting more insight into XY's inner thoughts. Could someone please tell me the drama is at what chapter now?
I am sure I missed something but: Why the slave in the fighting ring couldn't just be saved by the FL? isn't she a princess. and instead just trying to give him hope.
I just finished ep 23, so there are plenty of moments between TSJ and Xiao Yao from the very beginning. However,…
This is highly subjective. and you are entitled to your opinion. Cuz for me personally I fall on the other end of the spectrum. unlike with jing, I don't see any romantic chemistry with the other actors. But that is to be expected as one is basically a pimp and the other is a domestic abuser. I think their relationship with the FL is still fascinating. just not mutually romantic . All the actors chosen here fit their roles perfectly and I love what DW has done with his character.
Jing stans, we rise π«ΆπΎ I love how ppl are not used to having a genuinely nice male lead so he has to be…
In a sea of toxic masculinity MLs in cdramas/kdramas he is honestly refreshing. too bad he is pure fantasy and men like him don't exist irl πππ
