I admit I could be overly judgemental with cgi I just think than in the recent 2 years we had some good cgi in xianxias (at least the big budgeted ones) and thank god for that. in general I found the CGI of LYF quite good but the fire scene today looked a bit too fake for me. I love what all the actors are doing with their roles too including DW. I only wish he used his real voice. And yeah lmaooo i will strive to be more accurate in my insults in the future 🤣🤣🤣

Some of my favorite moments today : - CX knowing Jing was all alone with XY for so long while poor CFL is oblivious - Jing playing the zither - Siblings being cute with XY for badly playing the zither. - FL showing how much capable she is of defending herself even with so little tools to herself - Jing crying after XY's death - CX being quite short with xing yue - CX begrudgingly letting XL take XY because he knows only XL can save her atp.
IMO the show did a disservice to jing fully explaining the extent to which jing went to save her . giving her his inner spiritual power and shielding her from the fire to the point of being completely burned while her skin was unscathed. the bad cgi didn't help . Still his sacrifice and the pain he went through was obvious to everyone. So the people calling him useless going as far as attacking the actor are doing it because they are bitter that the domestic abuser doesn't get her at the end. it's actually funny

he suffers a lot for his ambition. that entire pill addiction sequence was so real man and that discussion with XY about how he willingly let himself be violated over and over again. we get so many angles to him in the show.
