A lot of people are sad/angry at the ending but I actually really like it. Like the whole overarching theme of these two is how star-crossed they are. One cannot live while the other is alive because they are genetically enemies from the start. If they somehow found a way where they could both live happily forever after without any of the sacrifices it would ruin that theme completely. Like they could both just kill the other person and live happy lives all on their own but they choose to go through all that pain and hardship because they love each other that much that even the small sliver of happiness they could get between all the misery is worth it to them. Wish the execution was better but with all the restrictions I'll cut them some slack.
Okay with how much I was losing interest in the story I didn't expect this ending episode to hit me so hard dear lord I didn't cry for the whole show but this last episode got me.
From TTJ saying "This life of mine is so hard" and Susu telling TTJ "I'll tell you when I meet you again" despite knowing the chances of that is slim to none. SHE WANTED TO DIE WITH HIM TOO. DESTROYED my tissue box again at the scene where TTJ hallucinated Susu after carving out his tombstone. LYX and BL's expressions broke me to pieces I swear if lesser actors were in their place none of this would be as hard hitting.
THEIR DAUGHTER IS SO CUTE OML 🧎♀️I didn't understand the ending at all though like what is with the scale and is TTJ inside of it?? uhh I will pretend the novel is what really happened instead tyvm.
If only some of the writing and editing was better without the 40 ep rule this could've been the GOATED xianxia show for me forever. :( But regardless it will still forever have a spot in my heart.
LYX and BL needs to be in another drama together PLEASE preferably better written one. Their chemistry is too good to only have 2 dramas together.
I'm so sad to find myself losing interest in the story, it's become so convoluted and it's hard to understand any of the character's motives/goals. The only thing keeping me going is the main leads and their acting putting the whole show on their back and carrying it to the finish line.
Can't believe I'm agreeing with something MN/YBC says but Mo Nv telling GYJW that he is not XL is saur true of her like even she sensed how XL's brain did not make it through the revival technique.

The way Susu was gently caressing TTJ's face in the midst of all that chaos, her focus completely on him and telling him everything is okay. IT'S EVERYTHING TO ME. 🧎♀️
LYX's acting in the second half of this episode is CRAZY I HAVE CHILLS. This was such a good episode, the 1v6 from TTJ almost becoming DG is so phew... I need a minute. This was such a solid episode, I guess I could maybe forgive the mess that was the last episode.

Bailu popped awwwfff I could feel her heartbreak and inner turmoil in that scene. It's so crazy how cutesy and lively LYX and BL are behind the scenes as if they didn't just inflict 10k damage to my psyche.
While I understand why some are frustrated with our heroine, might I offer a little insight?
LSS is in an extremely difficult situation even after having prevented the initial revival of the demon god at the tower scene. She needs to cultivate the heartless way in order to be strong enough to eradicate the evil bone completely or else all her efforts will be for naught. Her biggest hope was that TTJ was able to live a happy life moving on from her as she has given him a chance for that, away from having his body taken over by the demon god (the demon god is not TTJ, I get how hot LYX as demon god is but TTJ himself don't want to go that path.)
It might seem cold for her to keep rejecting TTJ like this but if she gives into her own desires, the TTJ that she loves will cease to exist to make way for the demon god. Even without TTJ around she could hardly stop thinking about him, and now that he's around and she saw just how easily TTJ was nearly taken over by the demon god. That whole situation reaffirmed to her that she needs to take this approach to get him to move on from her (and by extension herself) so she could get strong enough to save him & the world. It literally did not even matter if TTJ remained as pure of a person as he could, if the demon artifacts & evil bone still exist he would still be taken over by the demon god.
She thinks if she could just sacrifice her own desires and love for TTJ, she could give TTJ a life free from the burden of the demon god looming around in every corner. This is how much she is willing to give up for the sake of TTJ, she truly loves him so much.
