Yes, MLC is very different. I think depending on what you like for wuxia and other genres. I personally like "Handsome Siblings" in Netflix as it's wuxia with a lot of humor but a lot of people don't like it.

If you want "traditional" wuxias, I think most stories by Jin Yong ("Legend of Condor Heroes" either 1983 or 2017 version, "Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre" starring Joseph Zheng, or "Side Stories of Flying Fox") are considered classic. There are of course other wuxia stories, I think the recently very popular "Blood of Youth" has modern style of wuxia which more like superheroes with the power shown through CGI.

There is a bigger arc which are related throughout with those "smaller" various cases. But yes, it's a fantasy wuxia and detective show with a lot of hearts and humor.
