I would say this show is more character based. Has romance and action as secondary emphasis. My mom and I don't enjoy drama that merely focus on romance but we still quite enjoy it as we follow the progression of the characters.

I love that the Emperor and his staff's lives revolved around a bunny ;)

Since there is a promo for VIP because I've never been a member so I succumbed to it and subscribed to VIP ;) Not that many episodes are out yet so not going to be as crazy as marathoning dozens of episodes :P

I don't get VIP because otherwise I won't get any work done and I have read some spoilers here up to 14 :) So far, I'm enjoying up to episode 6. Even my mom who was very choosy about costume period drama enjoyed it so far.

No breakup. Well, the main lead tried to say being with him was too dangerous but she persisted. No breakup, at least that's what I remembered. It has been a while.

I keep hearing both of them are very good. I've watched Joy of Life and I agree with others, it's so good. Will try this drama when I have the time.

Question about episode 34 and 35. Why did Fan Xian release Xiao En and then caught him again? I missed the part when he mentioned the reason.

Mystic Nine is a prequel to Lost Tomb series. It has a lot of tomb raiding with some mystery thrown in set in Republican era. Another work of him that I enjoy is Age of Legends which is set in modern time. If you like period drama, Love Lost in Time is good. I think it is by the same producer of Eternal Love.
