Deep Lurk was number one last week for the most searched/watched TV show in China. I'm not sure whether the air time is still 4.30 pm local time. If it were the case, it was amazing to be number one for a five year old show.
Yes, I like the writing for the female characters here. Even Bai's mistress and Tang's wife were written well and they were their own characters instead of just someone's partner.
I think rewatching will be less stressful as to guess what was going to happen and instead focused on what we missed the first time :)
After Ling Han died, did he really plan for the next moves or was it Ke all along?
Yes, it seems to be the case. Because I think YHS or the narrator said something about Ke was forcing his hands. Plus I think there was the flashback scene which was not shown properly that HQ accused that Ke did everything and made Ling Han the scapegoat since he already died and couldn't defend himself.
I'll post whether it's happy or sad ending below as I don't want to spoil others here..
I think compared to some other Republican dramas, it's a relatively happy ending, the Yuan brothers and FL survived plus Xiao Dao (in a lot of shows. Xiao Dao would be a goner). Although I wondered about who the real HQ's parents were. Also glad that a lot of NBIS characters, the policemen Tang ( I didn't know his position in English) and Xiao Huang, plus secretary Wu survived. In some shows, there would be blood baths and barely anyone survived.
