It seems lately there are more female centric revenge drama, hardly any male centric so this is quite a welcome change. Not that there is anything wrong with the female centric but somehow the tricks they used are different.
I'm getting Count of Monte Cristo vibes from this. Wondering about jumping in, but I've never really really followed…
Yes, this definitely reminds me of the Count of Monte Cristo. I think even later c-dramas or other country dramas revenge shows are partly based on the Count of Monte Cristo,
No matter whether it's related to the Lost Tomb series, it indeed has a taste of it with zombies, tombs' traps, geomancy, and lighting lamps for VIP (like in The Mystic Nine which was the first drama that drew me into watching cdramas. LOL).
LOL, I'm not a fan of either actor either but you seem to really dislike his pearly white.
I think Ni Cheng and Wu An Akang should have appeared more especially the latter one as he was the main cast but at the end he just walked away and never been shown again. I even only know the actor from this show but it's just weird. I do like the twists and turns, and both main characters are grey. It seems Xuan Er being the baddie seems to be "forced" to show the antagonist gender is usually similar to protagonist gender especially if the protagonist is a female.
Lead actor so far seems meh. He is definitely no Walter White. I see no intelligence lurking there. And then this…
I also heard so many good things about BB but not sure if I have the time and also the mindset to watch BB as it's quite heavy especially nearly at the end according to some people.
This show is insanely funny. I usually don't watch romance shows, this one was different. Even up to episode 6, there was barely any romance, at least not on SCC's side. The actress who played Su Miao is so great, my mom and I kept laughing when she wore sparkling clothes and kept waving her hands so TQ would vomit. Then the scene where she jumped into the lake. I also love they made fun of the trope where the ML could always carry FL while TQ hurt his back trying to carry Su Miao.
I'm all about women empowerment but sometimes we need variations :)
I thought there were limits to the number of main roles in MDL so I guess not. I think I saw at most 6 main roles usually.
The trailer does look good. Let's go.

No worries. Sorry, I only saw your reply now.
