Well this is director fault cause guy wanted to promote ZYJ aka HRZ that he forgot he had to give more time for real time Zhong XiWu and make him more impactful. Still the whole idea of the drama since beginning was making FL aware of reality and in that reality Zhong XiWu is her man. Director F.ed up on that part and to appease people he gave us sh.tty anime

My take is Zhang Yi Jie has been in the industry much longer than Wang Xing Yue and he has yet to have his big break. HRZ was like the adorable male role that actually ended up with the FL in the original novel and that would have been liked by viewers (majority of cdramas viewers are female and among them a lot of feminists) and that is on paper the type of man women want : perfect green flag. And seeing the amount of screentime he got and the skinships with the heroine it is obvious for
me SOT and HRZ were supposed to be to ZYJ what LYF and Jing were to Deng Wei this year. Unfortunately I don't think that worked too much. Actually people were pissed off that too much time was wasted on him.

Do you see another actor managing to shine with a sabotaged role (hardly any screentime and 0 development) such as Zhong XiWu the way Wang Xing Yue did ? You need to have a huge charisma, a certain presence, a certain bearing and skills to be able to do that. He is still young and learning but boy ate that and managed to impose himself.

To be fair WXY carried as well with the lil screentime he was given. I even think the actor playing ZYL and Li Yun Rui did not do bad. Aimee was absolutely adorable and lovely. No no no ZY did not carry the show on her own

Ep 30 explains what happened in ep 1. The director main fault was not waking up the heroine earlier than ep 30. In the reality Zhong XiWu is the one for her and it makes sense. The only part they used to appease shippers hearts was that bullsh.t anime thing that came after ep 30. Here I saw the lack of respect for viewers.

Girl it has been episodes now everyone understood she was in a dream and was not in the real world. She was the only constantly smelling that incence smell and nobody else. ML in the real world has been maintaining her alive using incence for more than two years. If it is not love I don't know what it is. Director since the beginning shows us she will have to wake up and face reality. And if ep 30 was an alternative ending to appease shippers heart director would have never bothered and write the dreamland storyline on first place. She would have simply died and reborn .

It is happy ending since FL woke up and called Zhong Xi Wu name. It ended there. The issue is the PD was too busy promoting HRZ character and Zhang Ji Yie, he totally neglected Zhong XiWu and his relationship with HQ in the real world.

It was too obvious PD wanted to push Zhang Yi Jie at front so he would have his big break with this show HRZ being the one ending with FL in the original novel. I don't think it worked too much
