Is it just me but I am having a hard time warming up to the fl, after 5 episodes. Thoughts?
Not a fan of Bai Lu at all but I am liking Ning'er a lot. This year we had a lot of mature, strong but feminine and intelligent and layered female leads in cdramaland. 2023 was not totally dominated by the usual dumbo virgins with high pitched voiced childish FLs. Are Cdramas PDs waking up ?
ZLH is growing on me in this show. I feel his chemistry with BL. I am feeling more he is the type of character one shall not mess with. In the 1st two episodes I felt he was acting but now I feel he is XW and the scenes where he shows his fears are well played for me.
Whether it is a country or a woman XW has to conquer it all as long as he made his mind about what he wants. So far in his demenaor he is showing gradually he wants XN as well. At first he was keeping an eye on her cause she might remember a side of his he hides. Now he can't help but always be in her space.
I'm surprised this series is not more popular. Sure the cinematography left alot to be desire but nothing is perfect.…
The drama is popular my darling and so far is gettong good responses. And the story with all of those bloody rebellions and sacrifices is dark. Everyone walk on eggshells to the point I am scared for cutie patootie BaoYing. Girl is such an innocent baby in a world full of wolves
Because she is smart and edgy. In certain scenes (like when she talks with the enuch) it seems some of her empress mannerisms from her 1st life comeback and it is instinctive. I like that little detail about the character writting.
