I think HQ has her fault but she has her goods as well so she is layered which I like a lot and has been missing in idol cdramas. I feel bad for the way Wang Xing Yue was treatef in the show and the lack of screentime. Hopefully his growing popularity after that drama will compensate for that situation.
Actually Zhou Ye character got some of those traits that 90's western TV shows heroines used to have : mature, no nonsense, compassionate, layered, loving, intelligent, sometimes lethal when needed, vulnerable as well...
We had X files, New adventures of superman, The pretender, Xena the princess warrior, Emergency etc... and all of those series had appealing strong but not masculine FLs (sure Miss ParKer was a lil hard but damn she was so s*xy and alluring !)
