Well MR male lead was less damaged/damaging than this one here for sure but I think the writing for this drama is more solid than MR's. Sure the amnesia thing is overboard but it fits the title of the show so I guess there is a coherence here concerning the storyline -sometimes I felt MR's main characters' motivations of doing certain things were kinda weak. Plus things unfold more logically in COL than in Maid's Revenge.

Plus ML after the intimacies they shared together and all that will never accept to let go of FL. They really live that circle of (hatred) love that is toxic for them and that can only ends with ML's death.

Cause of resentment and ML still was planning to kill her family. Even he didn't do it he was still happy about the result and could careless if what he says would hurt FL (he was way too focused of revenge)

But people at least in this comment section hate his character ! Some even wish for FL to delete him at the end !

Before his mind was clouded by the image of his dad's gruesome death and his mom's rape and suicide because of the Gu family (which we are told are responsible for his family demise). So he was focusing more on revenge and then get more powerful.
