Typical happy go lucky poor woman paired with rich guy with a dramatic backstory. Bet you there will be sprinkle of melodrama. Like can't they try and be more creative ? They could make both of them rich ?

You are very welcome. Personally the drama is not technically perfect but I am intringued by the main leads relationship dynamism. This is the type of relationship you dont get full standard drama with your traffic actors. We are dealing to an exploitation type of relationship where the ML is a villain half demon and the FL a victim that is strong and a survivor. You can only cheer for her to get herself out of that danger zone and live happily ever after with her loved ones.
So far I am digging that drama. The relationship dynamism btw the ML and the FL is complicated, tense and fiery. This is a battle. I like FL is an innocent character that means good but has to act a certain way to save herself out of the ML and his gang trap and grip and protect her loved one. ML is a villain. Not "pretend" to be villain or villain-with-a-good-root type of thing (for example Dong Fang Qin Cang) but deep rooted villain and there is no doubt about it. He does not mean good news. Sure environment plays a big role in forging a person and from what we have seen ML has been raised in a cray cray dark world and all that still I don't feel his dad was mistreating him. If anything he kidnapped a girl and fed his son her blood regularly to keep him alive since he is an half demon and he needs that. Still he did not hesitate when he got the chance to kill his dad and his men and take his place. He is no good person. Talking about blood, the only thing that kinda make him "appear good" is that bond created with FL through those years of drinking her's. I like that they did not go the typical "all you need is lurve" road. It is even implied that he probably is "falling for her" only because of that process. You won't get that in your typical higher budgeted and longer shows.

Yes. He is not a bad actor but he just lacks x factor for me. I tried his dramas with Dilraba and they have absolutely 0 chemistry and I doubt he will have some with Xuan Lu.
I am now a fan of the FL actress, hope to see her in longer dramas too
Her look and aura is not the type cdramas PDs like nor promote. She is too much the mature fierce type. In cdramaland she would be wasted in second fiddle roles to the typical girl next door actress with a childish aura and porcelain doll look

And in 99.99% of the dramas she gets to play main lead roles she is paired with actors that are much older than her like this one here or lowkeye greasy. The only drama she gets to act with a hot rising actor is the one with Lai Guan Lin (I am even surprised about it). That girl's potentials are so wasted in China that is not funny anymore. I am so maaaad !
