I don't think there is a novel. KaiShou app short dramas are original if I am not wrong. Kaishou female leads are more the mature, bold, sensual and badass type. They give me the catwoman or Harlequin vibe : grey not-your-typical-goodie-two-shoes. Seeing how broken and loaded she is I am scared it will end up like ChengXi's song (my fav costume cdrama of this year 1st semester). Another thing is I am also intrigued by the prime minister daughter. The actress playing her is so pretty ! But it seems FL wants her to marry ML for power ? There is a nice dynamism between all three characters.
Well if you still get traumatized by journey of chongzi, maybe its better if you quit cdrama and focus on taiwan…
To be honest the writting of FLs in cdramas has for the most been so one dimensional and uncreative I have been focusing on kdramas and short mini cdramas 😁😛

Aw ! I feel bad for him. I think she really loves him but not more just her clan was slaughtered because of his mom and maternal uncle. I wonder how people received the ending. When he turned around and leave instead of to chase then I knew they were done for real and no way they will meet again during that lifetime. Lovestory more intense and impactful than LBFAD in my opinion. I wish they have another project in the future with good ending like "eldest princess on top"

They sure can such as the case of the 3rd prince clapping the cheeks of his step mom/the empress while his dad is still alive and still sitting on the throne. And after dad's death he doesn't hesitate and lakornly takes queen dowager aka his dead dad's wife as his woman. Damn !! Where you gonna see that in your full length traffic-actors-filled dramas ? Plus Female ain't your childish whinny and abbrasive goodie two shoes teen girl. She is a young mature woman on revenge mode and is to her stepson what Catwoman is to Batman : deliciously manipulative. Cheng Xi's song so far is my fav costume drama of this year first semester followed by Blood of Youth (2022/2023) if Dong Lan Xue ends well it might be on 2nd rank. I give Starry Love points for effort and mostly because I lurved the secondary couple.
