I like that Batman-Catwoman-like game between the ML and FL with a witty FL that has her own agenda and never buldges even "in the name of lurve". I wished they kept ML as sharp in later episodes but loverboy is a whipped
goner now who thinks with his b*ner. Girl you should see the 1st episode when that young empress demands loverboy (whose look reminds me of Dylan Wang at some angles) to call her "Mother" and when I say "demands" she has no qualms in using violence to do that (She replaced his mother as the empress : bruh 😩) ! Then and there I was a goner ! I mean your full
length filled-with-traffic-
actors dramas could never !
And episode 27 was 🥵. Wow !
PS : drama got nice visuals, nice lighting, nice costumes, not a huge
fan of FL makeup but I like her hairstyle and
some of her outfits (especially the black one)

So far what I like about Dong Lan Xue is the teamwork between the leads. Both are vicious, dark, cunning, smart and strong.

Girl if you like grey manipulative sensual badass lowkeye snakey women especially FLs in dramaland I strongly recommend you that extra short (2-3 min per episode) drama titled Cheng Xi's song. Unfortunately the episodes on youtube are raw and the subs of the episodes uploaded on dailymotion are not all that. Still I find this drama (especially the OTP) much more entertaining than all of those full length dramas with traffic actors. The FL and ML pair had that Batman and Catwoman sort of dynamism with their scenes loaded with hormones and s*xual tension. Concerning this show I agree. I feel the villainey SFL was more interesting than the FL. The former reminded me of the "Femme fatal in 1940's hollywood movies back in the golden age of the industry.

Now I have been obsessed over two ongoing extra short (2-3 mins) dramas titled : Cheng Xi's songs (literally story of the prince nicking his dad's wife [bad boy]) and Dong Lan Xue. Some of those mini shows have been serving us alluring female characters/female leads with loads of s*x appeal and OTPs full of sensuality and hormones (especially Cheng Xi's song where the OTP was giving me that Batman and Catwoman dynamic). When was the last time your full length cdrama was as satisfying concerning OTP lovestory ? Well...

About that drama for sure I liked the OTP intense love but was the only that was just as much drawn and even more thrilled by the villains ?

Well deserved

They are on their way to become the SRK and Kajol version of TikTok dramaland. It seems their onscreen pairing is becoming popular (looking at their vids on bilibili).
Jing Chao acting is improving like his character here (dark, cunning, lowkeye violent and bloody) is totally different from the puppy cutie in Eldest Princess on Top where the girl was the domineering one and he gladly accepted it (something I don't see his character here accepts as much).

Now I am watching another TikTok drama and both male female leads have been throwing hormones through my screen with their loaded banters. Male lead look reminds me of Dylan Wang at certain angles and he can somewhat emote. Acting of the leads especially ML not too bad actually (he knows how to use his eyes). I loved that part about the transmigrated girl cause it was as if they were making fun of that trope in cdramaland (girl of course was annoying like in other cdramas). It was a nice touch to show how those transmigrated girls, who are always FLs in cdramas can be actually entitled know-it-all children that normally wouldn't survive in those palaces back in the day and in this drama here said girl was not the protagonist and was eliminated by prince pretty quickly not because that fool was a spy but cause girl crossed the line with his woman. Drama got points from me here

About this show pair, I absolutely love them. Both characters are strong and smart. Even though the FL trained ML to be stronger and all I never feel she overpowers him from the episodes I have seen. Not only is he cunning enough to sometimes "defeat" her (when he drugged her and went to his brother residence after they fought) and with his position as a prince he manages to impose his decisions and act on it even she doesn't agree sometimes
(for ex when he killed
transmigrated girl and that
minister) but also that badass FL never loses feminity (The actress picked reminds me of the pretty Xu Jia Qi both got model type of beauty) and sometimes uses her charms to get what she wants.
The prince of course loves her and his intentions are clear : if he wins the throne he will make her his empress and one can see he is determinated in doing that and you understand the reason why and don't fear that both together will be able to rule and be strong enough to overcome trials. Still I love that she is realist enough to say that as a prince and maybe a futur emperor he will have to marry someone that can give him power and help stabilise his position and even though he likes her he can always have her as a concubine or what not. She doesn't mind it. She got her own agenda.
Guys honestly when was the last time a proper cdrama loaded with traffic actors was
as satisfying concerning OTPs ? I mean a WOMAN and a MAN working together ? You know the answer.
Also for a cheap TikTok short drama we get a nice visual, nice costumes, nice hairstyles.

Those mini dramas write better and more alluring female leads than their more expensive standard counterparts. Now I am watching "Cheng Xi's song" on Dailymotion (can find the raw episodes on YT) and this short drama's pair's chemistry and sensuality beats all of your traffic actors' dramas'. Cheng Xi's song got an MDL page as well. Some of those tik tok vids understood the assignment.

Just watched ep 29 to 31 raw and I don't think there will be a happy ending. Girl is too manipulated by that Xiao guy and then she is too deep into her revenge

His "romantic" parts are boooooring !
