I am watching his latest short drama now title Cheng Xing Zu if I am not wrong and wow ! Sure it is a very short drama. Sure it looks cheap. Sure 0 traffic actors but ladjila it giving all of the spices that have been non existent in standard cdramas loaded with huge names. And this boy can act !

I know there is no subtitle which is a huge bummer but I could careless and only focused on that pair of man and woman burning up my screen (especially on ep 25 to 28). We can always count on mini dramas sometimes to serve us the spices thar have been missing from their bigger and more expensive counterparts.
PS : I found ML acting not so bad ! I would even say good at emoting so even there was no sub I kinda understood where he was coming from.
PSS : that drama must have been produced by the same company behind "Eldest princess on top" which was one of my fav dramas last year and was even reviewed by Avenue X

I personally believe KiKi Xu is not bad from what I have seen from her (especially in her drama where she was paired with Wang You Shuo). She can emote fine and I find her very pretty. LLD is cute lookwise, she is not the type I would call strikingly beautiful, but she is cute. still I think the Yetan role can be played by the actresses I mentioned. Now on that other subject, no I don't have anything against CXX or LLD. I think they are doing a good job actingwise. If I thought they were doing bad I would post it here straight away. Since the topic here is who else could act the main leads roles I stated my opinion that's all.

I don't feel LLD is a striking beauty either but she is not doing bad at acting. Plus ZJM in Reset showed she can have chemistry with more mature than she is and the fact that she is not conventionally pretty adds a certain charm to it. Otherwise an actress I feel can act and is a striking beauty and can have a spicy chemistry with CXX would be KiKi Xu or Xu Jia Qi. This girl got striking visuals and she can act.
Wang You Shuo potentials have been wasted in cdramaland but for sure this guy can act totally different characters.

An actor like Wang You Shuo would have killed CXX role. WYS can play different characters to the T and he ain't bad looking but guy has been wasted in supporting in mediocre shows. For YuTan I see a girl like Zhao Jin Mai (she can act like nobody business)
