A detective drama like this deserves a female lead like the ones in Nirvana in Fire (1 & 2) for example : smart, elegant, poised and brave. Otherwise the show is good. Nice visual quality

FL is grating from her 1st appearance

I started it. I am on episode 7. I wished the FL was a mysterious appealing lady. Unfortunately we are still stuck with the overbearing clingy childish female lead. She ruins it for me. Drama is still good. Gorgeous to look at. The men got nice chemistry and dynamism. That type of childish FL was not needed. From the 1st scene she appeared I was praying for her not to be a main lead. Ugh !

Ancient detective remains superior cause I love Wang Ruo Shan badass character.

She brings nothing to him !
