On the fight scenes. I thought they were good. I rewatched some moves several times cause they were well done. I think some effort were put on the action scenes. Compared to a drama like "Ancient detective", this drama female leads were the weakest link here.
Lu Ling Feng was adorable for me. I liked his dynamism with both Su Wuming and Chicken Fed. I also liked how at the end of the day he akways accepted SuWuming deductions and was willing to learn from him. Plus he could fight like hell ! But Xi Jun ! Aigoooo ! I mean I just can't. Whenever she appears I fastfoward.
I couldn't warm up to her even she konda became helpful afterwards. I was fastfowarding her scenes. But I understand why she was Lu LingFeng biggest fangirl
Her character is very neutral not adding anything to drama and not annoying. As they have planned second Season…
FL was atrociously invasive in the 1st few episodes as well. Granted she is a great painter and kinda help eventually still cannot help but think like YingTao, without her, drama would have been working perfect (This is the writer fault). Pei Jun was introduced like an unwatchable abbrasive brat while YingTao was just there bland and not necessary (again the writer fault). In the meanwile Su Wuming, Lu LingFeng and Chicken Fed just killed it. They made the show.
One of the best costume drama of the year. Wow ! Iqiyi is sure raising the bar on this genre ! Plus the fighting scenes are really good ! I like the visual and the acting : Su Wuming Lu LingFeng and Chicken Fed are the best parts about it (I love their interactions).
